It might rain. It’S been raining on and off all day, so you never know what might happen in the Music gables Music. Oh by the way i forgot to mention it is also a folding bike, so it’s perfect for rving and i’m going to show you how to do that. If i remember at the end of the video, but not for real i’m going to change and go for a ride but hello, everybody and greetings from the little gables and uh it’s gon na rain in a minute. So let me let me show you what i’m going to show you on this particular episode, which is my first electric bicycle, an e bike and, as i mentioned courtesy of electric, so i feel very electric at this moment. Let me stop here at the stop sign and let me show you how everything works anyway. This is a residential neighborhood here called the little gables, which is just north of coral gables, very nice. Okay, let me show you a real quick here how this works. Of course you can turn it on and off, but, as you can see, i just turned it off and if you turn it off it’s just a regular bicycle, you know you can you can ride it even if your battery is dead here on the right, we Have a regular shimano, uh gears, you know that could have on a regular bicycle: let’s go to a little lower gear, so i don’t wan na i don’t wan na put too much effort on it, but then let’s turn it on in order to turn it on.
You first have to you have a key that you have to use to turn on uh the battery down there. The battery is removable replaceable and right now we have a passive, no that’s power, assist and zero, but if i put it on power, assist one and i start pedaling yeah – it just helps you a little bit, which is very nice. If you are on a long ride and of course you can change this power assist to two, did you feel that it’s like it’s, like i’m, almost putting no effort now the power is just too actually. I almost feel like. I have to go into a higher gear here on the right there. It engages five and six there and i could go power, assist three and now it’s really going. Oh, my gosh! This is a lot of fun. I almost feel like i don’t have to pedal in power. Three let’s do power five just for fun. Now it is really going as you can see, we’re going almost 20 miles per hour, and i hope you can hear me with the wind noise because at 20 miles per hour, we’re going pretty fast now, that’s uh that’s power assist five, which is almost too much It it does, as you can see, it’s helping me out, even though i come up from a stop. I put it back in in power, assist one. It does max out at 20 miles per hour unless you change it in the settings.
I think. Theoretically, it goes like don’t quote me on this 26 27, something like that, but in most jurisdictions the the speed limit by law is 20., so i think that’s what they they pick up. 20.. Now, if you want to use it like an electric motorcycle, you don’t feel like pedaling you’re tired. We can do that too. Let me stop at this, but though isn’t this like the cutest neighborhood, this is this is where i usually go for runs in the morning. Okay, just like a i mean, i’ve never owned a motorcycle, but i figure it works. The same way you just pull on this trigger here. You just turn the throttle and it just accelerates it’s, pretty cool yeah. This is one of those roundabouts that has a stop sign. Instead of a yield which is strange, i got ta. I got a ticket once this um in any case now, we’re we’re, approaching kind of the downtown coral gables area as we’re going south here, and so, besides doing the the bike review, i wanted to you know to give you guys a ride of this is not My neighborhood, but this is close to my neighborhood. I could probably not afford the house in this neighborhood but it’s a very nice area, nice restaurants. So if you come to miami coral gables is a nice place to be, and let me see if we can show you here a little more let’s see another stop sign, but pretty soon we’re gon na hit alhambra here coming up and alhambra is one of those Streets, i believe, has a like a like a bike lane.
This is bike friendly, coral gables in general is bike friendly, but a very, very, very nice residential area. We’Re gon na make a right on the next street here by the way, very cool that it assists, especially when you, when you’re taking off from that inertia, i like it on the on the on the higher assist levels. It is perhaps a little too much. You see it really accelerates and it’s kind of uh. Perhaps it feels a little unnatural Music, but i guess it’s a matter of getting used to you know here here we have the the bike lane so we’re gon na use this bike lane and i’m going to show you another one of the features, because let’s say This is a good speed right now. 13., if i hold the plus trigger, is it the plus there? Oh that’s, the manual lights? I know there’s always i know there’s a way to do cruise control. Oh, this is walk mode i’m learning here to speak. This is a lot of fun 20 miles an hour man. This thing is really going Music, see i’m framed with it here, and it has a trip odometer a timer and the odometer like a regular adobe. This is brand new bike. We’Ve only done two miles on it so far. Here we go, it has a walk mode, but i guess you have to be moving for it to activate Music. I think walk mode. It just goes by itself.
It just helps you out: okay, that’s, really cool. I finally was able to figure out walk mode and it just goes very very slowly and then, if you hit the brake, it stops okay. Now i just need to figure out the cruise control. As you can see it’s kind of raining here in coral gables. It says, pull the trigger and then hold yeah. So now we are in cruise control, so you know if we want to take a leisure, a ride. You know anywhere that that’s how you would do it it’s a screws power assist one. I guess no, no! The power assist doesn’t really matter with your cruise control and let’s go a little faster just because this is fun there. You go cruise control at night at 20 miles per hour under the torrential rain, not torrential, but it’s it’s, really pretty hard Music wally Music. Now let me show you this here looks like a lighthouse, but it is actually a water tower it’s a light. It can be a lighthouse we’re, several miles inland here. So oh yeah, this is girl, gables, the city beautiful. I hope you enjoyed this tour and i’m. Certainly enjoying my new e bike Music so well, as you can see a very small footprint once it is folded up and i’m really looking forward to to continue using it, as we continue camping here in the summer of 2021, and i want to thank electric for Sending me the bike until the next one.
Thank you so much for watching and see you on the road Music. I’M writing riding in my rv, wherever i want to be because i’m free in my rv yeah, i’m.
