the syma is more durable. I have crashed into asphalt and still good.
Oh, forgot to mention most important thing about crashing and fractures around motor mount. Remove those four stupid legs from below gears – it is main reason why it breaks. It is intended to protect gears, but ONLY if it falls vertically, which is not always the case. More often than not, it will crash diagonally, where all force (all weight) of the quadcopter will press against this very durable plastic (leg, gear protection), but plastic of arm is not so durable. Just remove it, put two landing skids, that is all – it can endure more crashes than with so called "gear protections".
It is excellent quadcopter, cheap and mostly important without crappy 2 MP camera. I have two Bayangtoys X8 quadcopters, and no matter how good I fly – camera is just… not that good. I attached FPV modified Mobius camera with 25 mW, 5.8 GHz transmitter in it (20 minutes recording time, weights 35 grams only), and can fly up to 1 kilometer (my personal record is 1.1 km). FY326 Q7 has 8.5 mm diameter motors, better than Syma X5c or BT X8, which has 7×20 mm motors. Much more power, more fighting power against wind. Only bad thing is with funny looking remote. I am about to buy this quadcopter, just need few bucks more…
The 2 FY326 Q7 quads i have gotten the past month are very repairable and durable. Both quads within 2 days of initial flights had burned out motors, The Black Q7 due to a crash from 20 meters up flat upside down onto the props full throttle ( my bad as im a nO0b) , luckly only the one motor went bad, no other damage. The white Q7 motor just stopped working during a LOW ALTITUDE HOVRr OF 6 FT. THE QUAD only had one hour of flight time on the motors.
the bright side is i used Syma x5 motors and all is well in quad land 🙂
GTW Jordan….thanks for sharing. and dont tell yuor wife about flying in the house, my wife allows me to fly anywhere.. HA!
Hey Jordan is you q7 still working btw I love your vids
Great vid! ''You shouldnt tell my wife that'' hahhaah!

i mesan you
where does it live
why does it take that long
Is this good for beginners (coz I am???)
bla bla bla bla ….. more bla bla bla just to hear about the ducktape!! OmG
Hello first of all, thanks for all those reviews and good informations in them. Nice job.
At 6:30 you mentioned that Q7 could barely use a mobius camera. I guess it's maybe because your Q7 quad was not "fresh" enough – I mean tired frame / engines /battery , unbalanced props ? . The transmitter is not smooth enough to do fancy aerial views with wind but with no wind and slightly balanced props you can do correct flies with a well centered mobius: See http://bit.ly/1iewq7g
In comparison with the X5C-1, this quad is very fragile due to the cheap soft plastic its made from. My one fell apart quickly while the X5C-1, which I have had for 6 months longer, is still relatively undamaged. It flies well though.
Does anybody know where could I find spear motor gears for this quadcopter? I'm taking about the gear on the motors' axle (see here: https://plus.google.com/+DanielDur/posts/Ub6QNLXZZ8M).
Thanks
I've flown mine for about 10 hours now – with few crashes (and I'm a novice)….only issue has been the prop guard popped off… How hard are you crashing this thing???????
I got one of those from "GearWorst" … what a nightmare … but I'll spare you the details. I found the FY326 a very easy to fly and stable flier. I DO have an 808 camera, and I just velcro-ed it to the top of the canopy and got great pictures around the yard and at the school yard. I found that mine, which I suspect was a "display model", since it arrived without the instruction manual and had scratches on the TX, had very poor range. So, I decided to do a range mod to it. As a Sr. Electronic Technician and an Extra Class Amateur Radio Op., this was easy for me to do. I was all set to check out my new range, when I had a "senior moment", and grabbed a battery for my Heli-Max 1SQ (has the same type connector) and plugged it in. Well, the lousy engineers of the FY326 figured they'd save a 1/10th of a cent by NOT including polarity protection on the power input. Therefore, as soon as I connected the battery, the circuit board went up in smoke. I scrapped it for parts to use on another X5C-1 clone (this one from Bayang). I agree that it is not a great windy weather flyer, but it does okay in light winds. It's stable enough to fly in very cramped indoor quarters .. depending on your skill level. Usually I fly my 1SQ or X11 indoors .. but I've flown these 230mm class copters, as well as my ZMR250 racer indoors (yeah, it does blow everything everywhere, so you have to make sure to secure the area 1st). Cheers!
+Jordan Keyes I just got mine but it came without a manual. Can you (or anybody) take a couple of pictures of it please.
Dude, I started using my syma x5c as a back up, while I wait to fix my wl686.. there is no way you can be a worse pilot then me.. My quad's like to act like a run away dogg in heat. as soon as they get air? they run like hell for the highest tree, the deepest gully and the most obscure roof tops.. My syma drops like a brick our of the sky as soon as I see it going towards a building or a tree. I kill the throttle and let it fall.. better to have a broken quad. then a mia.. I have a Mjxr quad that is currently taking residence in my neighbors maple tree. since its first flight 3 days ago…I will probably contract someone to climb the tree for a search and rescue.. cool video, Im trying to soak up everybody's experience..
I've been flying my Cheerson CX-20 for the past month or two, but I was considering buying something like the FY326 for a low-stress fun fly. Though it seems the fragility may not be so condusive toward that goal. Maybe I'll just save my money for an FPV racer.
Fly day Fridays definitely should be a thing!!!
give me the link
from where you buy the camera pleaseee
Hi,anyone know if this quadcopter FY326 have headless mode?
