Did you guys like that new intro i’ve actually been working on it for a while it’s, been like a lockdown project and it’s? Taking it’s taking forever, but i love it so taking a closer look at the actual body of this drone, the actual physical body, how it looks how it feels it’s bigger than the predecessor so i’ve actually got a mavic pro platinum here, which was my old drone. So yeah it’s thicker it’s fatter it’s a little bit bigger and that’s to make way for a couple of different features, one of which, being this are four sensors on every single side of it. The mavic pro only had one sensor. This has four on every single side of it, so it does make it a little bit more flexible when you’re trying to sort of fly through trees. Do those tricky situations. It does help a lot. The other one is, Claro, la cámara de. The camera is bigger. En este, one comparison to the mavic pro – and this is to give away for the aperture we’ll get into the apertures a bit later and also the storage of this drone actually has internal storage, lo cual es fantástico, which actually makes a big difference. If you’re flying and your sim randomly cuts out, it runs out of space. You can quickly turn to the internal storage on this baby and actually helps a lot if you’re, shooting in bally and you’ve only got one sd card and it runs out of space and then all of a sudden, you have that little bit extra that you can Get out of that situation out of where you are, it really really helps for photography and videography.
So getting a little bit into the specs of this camera actually has a 20 megapíxeles de cámara, whereas this mavic pro is only a 12. So the image, quality and i’ll put a couple of images up here is a lot better. Sin embargo, on the flip side, this camera can’t rotate to portrait mode which this one actually could now for me, that’s quite frustrating. I crop a lot of my stuff for instagram. As you guys will see on my instagram channel hp, lifeline’s a tag here and it helped me a lot, it helped me get the right format, the right structure, to my images, but now that i can’t do that. I need to crop everything to portrait after on lightroom or photoshop or whatever it is so to me, although it’s good, you have a bigger quality, cámara, bigger imagery and better megapixels per inch. So to speak, you still don’t get the portrait mode, which is frustrating and which, in a camera at this price i would have expected from tgi, so not great, but it has a bigger camera and cropping its portrait does work, pero de todas formas, the flight time in this Has gone up to 31 minutes from about 27 o 28 if you’re lucky on this, which doesn’t feel like a big difference, but when you’re flying actually is a big difference that could be the difference between an amazing shot and an all right shot if you’ve got The sunrise coming up and you’re waiting for the sunrise and the drones up and then all of a sudden it cuts out those five minutes can mean a lot.
So that helps a lot also, when physically flying the drone, it feels heavier and actually it is heavier. Es 300 grams heavier than the predecessor, and you can really see this when you fly it it’s more stable, es, more agile, it doesn’t flick around as much with the wind, so it helps a lot having a drone that is 300 grams heavier. Sin embargo, on the flip side to that, you need to carry it everywhere. I tested this drone to the max. Over the last three or four months, i’ve brought up rose in the snow. You guys will have seen in my vlogs i’ll link them below and although it fared very well and performed very well, there was the issue of the weight of it and it did get a bit much at points which again was annoying because then they brought out The mavic 2 aire, but we’ll get into that bit later. The iso range in this mavic pro 2 goes to one two: Ocho: Cero, Cero, which of course, you’re never going to go, because your footage will be totally pixelated and blurred. Sin embargo, it has the capabilities to do that. It just has a stronger camera, and on the back of that, you have the aperture, which you can change, which is incredible, so it goes from 2.8 to about f14. Although top piece of advice do not go above f5 as soon as you go above f5, it kind of starts to pixelate, it doesn’t look as great and it just doesn’t look buttery, smooth and sleek it just kind of pixelates and becomes noise related.
Keep it between 2.8 y 5 and you should be okay. The color profiling of this drone is also much stronger than the predecessor. It has about 1 billion colors. This one has about 12 millones, and i know that most people won’t see this when they do photography and videography. Sin embargo, if you’re color, grading and you’re shooting in log format which this drone can do by the way it can shoot and log which for me videographer, is incredible, then it makes a huge difference when color grading and actually color grading on this drone has been a Lot easier than it has on the mavic pro platinum, so the video resolution it shoots on 4k 30 Marcos, a second or 24 Marcos, a second of course videographers. You all shoot in 24 frames a second. Sin embargo, it does have the capability to shoot 30 Marcos, but what annoyed me about this is they actually brought the mavic air 2 hacia fuera, which shot in 60 frames a second pretty much about three months after they released this, and this has a bigger price tag so Kind of frustrating they could have sort of upped this in a firmware update, but they haven’t yet, and i think the reason that they’re doing that is to squeeze more money of the mavic air 2, which is frustrating when you’re paying about 2 000 pounds for a Drone like this, i would also remember that you need to have nd filters with this drone if you try and shoot above the f sort of five about the fk.
If you try and shoot above the f5 point, then the footage does become a bit blurred a bit distorted. So i would always have nd filters with you. Wherever you go with this drone don’t buy the polar bro versions they’re far too expensive. I got ones off amazon for like 20 quid and they work perfectly for me and i’ll link them below for you guys when it actually comes to flying this drone as well. The gimbal actually extends further than the predecessor of the mavic pro, which actually gives you a lot more sort of variation when you’re shooting, por ejemplo. I went along the ice and i’ll put this sample footage on the video for you and i could sort of pan up to the mountains a lot further than i would have been able to with the mavic pro. It comes in really really handy when you’re shooting something big like i do when i’m out and about in scotland and yeah. It is one of the sort of features that i really really like about this drone. So that is all for me today. I want to put some sample videos from this drone that i’ve taken over the last three months to give you guys more of an in depth, feel about how it flies, how it shoots and v log and at the different apertures and all the rest of it. You very much for watching, i hope you’ve enjoyed. Por favor suscribirse.
If you had and remember, i have other vlogs where i’ve actually shot with this drone, and you guys can see me trekking up mountains and doing stupid stuff and using this drone to do it.
