Great Video again… Yes get warm. Question I like the mount you are using for the CrystalSky. Can you share which brand? I like that it mounts similar to a phone and doesn't cover up the controller.
Sehr gut. I havent been brave enough to take my drone out in the cold yet. Nice to know a few degrees below the ratings are good.
There is no way I'm ever going to fly my Mavic 2 Pro in cold weather 'cuz I do NOT like the cold. But it's good to know I can fly it at such cold temperatures if I want to.
Dont the mavic 2 enterprise batteries have built in warmers? Can you use those? or is the warmer in the enterprise itself
Bearbeiten: just looked …yes enterprise does have self heating batteries that can be bought separately and used in mavic 2 pro & Zoom
Cool! Can you fly them in light snow / flurries?
Do you use an ND filter in snow conditions? Wenn ja, which one would be best when flying a Mavic Air with the camera set to auto?
i've also flown my spark at -10 degrees without problems! just need to keep batts warm and don't fly batts down too much!
Freaking cold = Cold
Is the mavic 2 Zoom ulcerated for cold-weather?
What the model of the case?
if you can a video for Fimi X8 SE thanks for the best videos
Thank you for taking your time out in the freezing temperatures. ???
Measuring the temperature of the external parts of the aircraft is totally useless. I have flown my aircraft in -11°F (-23.8°C) in high winds without any issues. What is important is the battery temperature. When LiPo's are cold, the internal resistance goes up and the battery cannot meet the power demands. When the power demand increases, the voltage drops. When a DJI battery reaches 3.0 Volt, it will shut down. When flying in cold weather, make sure you keep your batteries warm. Room temperature is ok, but 80°F-90°F is the best range. The battery temperature should be checked numerous times during the flight, the info is right there in the DJIGo 4 aircraft status screen. Slow flight and hovering is a light load, so the battery may cool down while flying in these modes. Flying fast puts more demand on the battery and will cause an increase in temperature. You should also have the battery voltage displayed on the screen in addition to the percentage, as it's much more important. Auch, when thinking about temperature, wind chill has absolutely no effect on the drones, batteries and other inanimate objects. Wind chill only effects humans and animals and that might be enough to keep you from flying.
By gingies that's cold Steve, I don't think I will have any issues of getting too cold here in Perth 39 Grad C .
You are what we call a dedicated little vegemite, thanks for everything that you do.
Cheers
Andy B.
But what kind of flight times do you get at these temperatures?
Flying at -15 degree Celsius: https://youtu.be/o7Fo2asGofI
Bei 8 minutes how much battery did you have left, or was that what you got out of that battery. Are there any issues with range while in the car?
Why do people use Farenheit? It has not relevance to anything.
Also, 8 min was flight time or max time that battery handled? that would be most important info of this test.
Amazing extreme weather bro, I Have a Mavic 2 zoom and try starting my channel too 😉 Great Stuff!
You have a Indian dot on your forehead lol
Well done Steve. Großer test. What about the go pro did you have any issue with the cold weather (low batteries after 2-3min)?
Ottawa, feh, you can keep that cold
Thanks for a good presentation. Living in Norway, I am used to low temperatures. The drone itself performes well. The problem is the iPhone. Usung a CrystalSky is the Sollution!
Vielen Dank, I am heading to do some winer flying next week and was wondering how it was going to go!!!!!
I flew my M2P at 7F and no issues… and better yet I sat INDOORS in the house in my pjs in front of a picture window while I did it! (out in the country) and was able to fly quite a ways over the forest and hills. No connectivity or cold-related issues at all. Solid machine!
Gutes video, I hope you had some hot chocolate afterwards.
wow Canada gets really cold! I live in San Diego so I dont know how is below 30F. lols
where'd you get that remote monitor?
The DJI drones are simpy amazing. I flew a Mavic Air in -34C (-29F) a few days ago – and I was amazed by how well it worked. The battery didn't last very long, but enough for me to get a few photos from a height of 200 Meter. Und wie immer, the photos taken during such a cold day just turn out to be beautiful…
I flew with my Gopro Karma at -17 Celsius with no problem
Lol in finland its like always -20 Celsius
WoW this is amazing ? Imagine flying Mavic 2 in Antarctica or Artic with M2E' heated Batteries?
I've flown the P4P v2 and the Mavic 2 Pro in -40. Drones can withstand some pretty cold temperatures for sure.
I've been flying my spark from OC to -5C, no issues so far, been keeping the batteries warm and not flying in sport mode.
how long did the battery lasts? Im going to fly next week in Lapland and temperature will be -22C
I never understand these videos… WARUM?
Here I am watching your video and it's 39 Celsius outside.
What a contrast but you can have your temperatures.
Now will the Mavic 2 fly at over 40 Grad C ?
Did he mentinoned how cold it was? I think I missed it ?
FUCK Fahrenheit
Love the video idea, but not enjoying the constant whining about the temperature. Nach wie vor, you get a thumbs up for getting out there. Vielen Dank für den Austausch von.
Best regards from 65° North.
You live in Canada please make video about drone law at there pleases , it is hard to fly or not
Always so dedicated Captain! lol but then again we can't not fly or try out ay new drones cause of the cold can we. Plus it's always freezing in Canada eh? I'm going through it now, I want to fly but it's super cold and a lot of ice cold winds. So if it's this cold for me in USA Pennsylvania i'm sure it's freezing up there right now. Thank you again for another bright, enthusiastic, friendly review!
I fly in -10C' Mavik keeps well, flies a little sweaty but does not complain)
@captaindrone Hi, please I need one information and little help if you know – does Crystalsky monitor have output via HDMI output 1080 50Ich ? Vielen Dank im Voraus. Regard Sasa
Fahren Sie mit 5:05.
How long did battery last
Gut, finally the video I wanted to see. I already seen a video of a French flying a drone in winter, but I know than winter here, in Canada, are a little more colder 😉
I'm working in forest, I know a lot of place where it will be great to make some aerial photos during, so it's nice to see than the Mavic 2 can fly in subzero temperature, even if it's only for a really short fly.
Thanks for making my Google Home go off ?
I love my original Mavic Pro so much that upgrading for supposedly better camera quality just isn’t worth the $$$. But against my better judgement, I must have it???
I fly my Mavic Air in -21C this winter. Keine Probleme.
