can you do a review on the syma x6 supership
1:46 haha
question. i have recently bought the ares qx130 at hobby town and i love it. you should buy it its $100
Do the area ethos qx 130 and in the review show the attachments
I really wish you could get Ares products in Canada… I love the looks of their quads and helis.
Haha 'This is a really nice, stable flying quad!' BAM CRASH!! 🙂
Really like your reviews and after watching what seems to be 1/2 a million of them I decided my 1st quad would be a Traxxax Alias …should arrive tomorrow according to UPS tracking tool 🙂
Thanks for all the info!
Good for beginners?
Do a review on the Ares Ethos QX130 and i have heard it has a nice hobbygrade transmitter
My neighbors are 8 year old twins and they both got the ethos 130 qx… They aren't the most careful kids and one is broken after one day of flying.
I am not surprised, but I love flying them!
Didn't u have a bigger room to fly it in
This is a nice quad but idk about the transmitter. Is it good for pinchers or no?
Whats the easiet copter to fly for s beginner?…I bought this and i cant cover it!…it goes to different directions and hits the ceiling all the time…
I've flown mine pretty hard since owning it for over a week. Lots of fun until my first hard crash into grass. Bent an arm, and most of the motor mounts are loose and stripped so can't be tightened. It was flying like complete crap and flew better after swapping for new props.
I have crashed my 130 way more times and it still flies super!
Just got my girlfriend one man. She needs some no wind days to learn and that's usually at night when she needs to sleep. Me I will stay up til 3am flying sometimes haha. The 130 is slightly too large to learn on in our house. I like how in the directions for both the 130 and 75 it says left stick left-right movement is yaw….totally screwed me up when I flew the 130 the first time(i cut it out of the video hehe)
Just waitin for it to charge before the first flight. Excited to do a side by side flight comparison of the 75 and 130
I just bought this quad and its great. However does anyone know a good mod so that the battery does not keep sliding out of the bottom compartment?
Have you seen RCdepature's quadcopter shootout video? He ranked the Ethos 130 #2 quad after the LaTrax Alias
it's a ladybird v939 clone
The nano qx is way better I have both the nano qx is more agile
Pretty hard to compare, due to size alone. The mQX is bigger and more suitable for outdoor flying. The Ethos is good indoors, but can handle quite a bit of wind… it's just harder to see at a distance, because of its size.
Compare ethos to the MQX?
No, I don't think any quad has an auto-flip that works in the diagonal axis.
Quads don't have heading hold gyros, they have 3-axis gyros, which will hold yaw position (heading hold). The Ethos has only a 3-axis gyro, whereas the newer quads now also have accelerometers, which help with auto-leveling and angle of attack limiting.
What about the MQX, putting the Nano qx aside, which is best between just the MQX and Ethos qx75?
With the automatic flip mode can you flip it diagonaly?
Does the ethos have a heading hold gyro like the MQX and MSRX and collective pitch helis?
Those three quads are hard to compare, as each is pretty different from the other. The Nano QX is my current favorite quad, because the 6-axis stabilization ("SAFE") is so awesome, and the different flight modes give it a lot of options for flight types. The mQX is bigger and really only to be flown outdoors, whereas the other two are small and good indoors or outdoors within range of sight. If you want to lift a cam, you need the mQX.
Could you please tell me your thoughts on the Blade MQX and how it compares to the ethos and to the Nano QX?
I broke one of arms on mine and replaced it
The Nano QX is leaps and bounds better than the Ethos. Not even comparable! Sure, the Ethos has an auto-flip button, but the Nano QX can do flips manually, which is much more rewarding when you master it. 🙂
which is better the blade nano qx or the ares ethos. also for aerobatics like flips and rolls which is better because the ares does have the flip mode while the blade dosen't. PLEASE ANSWER BACK
I haven't flown the Eye One, though I did look into it a bit. I don't think the heaviness would be a good thing for a beginner. I do agree that it probably helps it remain stable in the air, but it would require more work on the pilot's part to do so.
You should look into the new Blade Nano QX! I will be posting videos of it soon too. It is incredibly stable, and would be great for a beginner pilot.
Hi,
did you ever fly the rc logger eye one? I checked the reviews and people say that as to the flight characteristics the eye one is different to the other quads like the ethos, it shall have more ability to hover in one spot instead of "sailing" through the room and a noticable substance in the air due to its weight ( RC Eye one >80g, Ehthos >37g).. would you say that having more "substance" in the air and the increased ability to fly more steady is an advantage for a beginner pilot ? Thanks
How did it break? To replace the motor, you actually replace the entire arm. Should be fairly simple. The part is only $7 and available at HobbyTown.
Mine broke before 24 hrs of owning the damned thing, how much is a spare motor
Hmm, it doesn't get much easier to fly than this. I have slightly larger quads, but I think the Ares is one of the easiest to fly RCs I own.
Took mine back for a restocking charge, thought it would be much easier to fly- I would purchase something else bigger with more control thats flyable without too much risk.
I can try. What do you need help with?
I agree that this quad is tough as nails. So light and blades so small there is almost no momentum to it. Pull blades off with fingers. High rates outside in any wind. 8 minutes per flight. Cut the little tabs off of the battery side connector, otherwise it will be hard to disconnect. Also. to arm it I just turn on the Tx, hold the quad level above my head, and plug in the connectors, wait for the beep (1 second) and the gyros initialize just fine.
Oh, and it's great outside. Look through my videos… I have one of my flying it outside in 20mph wind. 🙂
Well, not "clones", per se, but there is a lot of sharing and rebranding of parts in the manufacturing of RCs.
Ares brand is only sold at HobbyTown stores, which are only in the US, but you might be able to get overseas shipping.
Where from you get it?.
All clones of each other.Unusual one.outside what it like.
tough as nails
take it back to hobbytown they'll adjust it for you
I have one and use a needlepoint pliers to take them off
Well, to start, make sure to set it down on a nice level surface immediately after plugging in the battery, so that the gyro can properly calibrate. Check to make sure the blades are all properly mounted on the motors and none of them are bent out of shape. You won't be able to get it perfect. The quad will tend to drift around a bit on its own, and you have to make slight corrections to keep a hover. And, the trim changes as the battery dies, too. Hope that helps a bit! 🙂
