Used Typhoon H with 2 batteries and case or new Anafi for same price?
I have the original H also. I fly my Mavic Pro more due to it's portability. Have you tried the Yuneec Tornado plus? I think the "plus" model is newer with added flight modes. I am looking for a m43 camera drone as an upgrade. I'm thinking about either the Tornado+ or the Powervision PowerEye drone. What are your thoughts on those drones?
I wrote you and got a reply but can’t find it aboutTyphoon H Plus with Intel RealSense TechnologyWell don’t this drone has sensors so it prevent crashes ? By the way I live in Las Vegas Nevada USAI love to buy one and a good one Who makes this one ? Is it a Chinese company . I really wanted a US made drone and real good quality but as I said I am new and just started a search as one of the once I was looking for was the dji Mavic 2 pro the deal they have for $1899.99 it’s the drone with the new controller that they just came up with . But I am between this and the Typhoon H Plus with Intel RealSense TechnologyBut please educate me a bit more I am turning 70 early March and it’s never too late and I think that I will love to take the drone to the lake and fly it . Wished you lived here I would have paid you to teach m . But I will post at Graig’s list maybe I will find a guy who can teach me . But many new drones has the sensors all around so they protect the drone to crash on a tree etc please advice and I have the bell on so I can get your reply on my iPhone . Best regardsSam
Do you still fly this drone and love it as much as you did in 2017? Have any new issues occured?
2 points? lol
Love it… do you live in Chicago?
ik ben 100% overtuigd en ga bij deze een bestellen thank you four your movie paul
I got mine second hand for $565 had only ten flights. Had it for a year and no problems at all even bumped a tree limb ad broke half a prop, was able to land safely. Only wish it had something like mission planner could have google earth map and video in something like p.i.p. Only had home built drones with pixhawk before that. Still fly both but typhoon is my go to for travel.
Yuneec customer service UK are brilliant.
I just bought the Q500 bundle, can;t wait
It is not a hundred yrs old, ONE YEAR OLD Dude.
Question regarding flying the typhoon h when it is raipning, how badly can it rain before you need to teke it inside? I live on the coast in Norway where there are a lot of rain when it first starts to rain. Any experience with this?
Super cool video !!
How does yours work in the RAIN?? i spent 1 hr with yuneec cust. service on the phone trying to figure out since Yuneec says the ONLY WATER RESISTANT drone they sell is the H520 Hexcopter. ive only used my typhoon H480 in the rain one time, now im really trying to WATERPROOF my Typhoon H so i can use it for Search and RESCUE in he rain too, now im just using it when its not raining. yuneec says there is NO WAY to waterproof or RAINPROOF the H480. Do you have any input, since you fly in the rain too?? i already did an exterior antenna MOD along with getting the fpvlr anteena for my transmitter, so i get incredibly good signal even in stormy days, but im wondering if flying in the rain may be ok. for Searching
Dear Cpt. Drone, North America is just not the US, I have talked to a few commercial drone resellers in Canada and most of them don't carry it anymore due to poor demand.
good review. I am thinking of buying one, but seeing some other reviews put me off, I think you have reinterested me in it. I hope the latest one is more better. I do think they need to put some more things onto it like the DJI pro has.
Thanks much, I walked into a pawn shop one of my favorite pastimes and this was sitting on a endcap for 450.00. I stopped picked it up and said mine! Have to buy a couple new batteries and propellers but otherwise looks ;good. No damage of anything. I looked it over very closely and especially the wiring and all the joints, dusty but solid. Just to be safe I got ab6 month warranty to cover anything I couldn’t see. Very excited to have it and looking forward to flying my first no DJI Drone. Thanks for the positive review I remembered seeing this and exactly what to look for with it. Think it will be fun and a good bird for my work.
Ok, already asked on another video-when do you plan on reviewing the H plus? Thanks
aww come on Steve, I can drive a truck under that,,,lol blindfolded,,,lol
just want to add publicly, I was one of the first people to buy a Yuneec Typhoon q500 (the white one) . I have to say I beat the living shit out of that aircraft,,, lol. It never let me down once.once I forget about smart mode and I flew it into some thorn bushes and got pretty cut up retrieving it,,lol but it was ok, not a scratch on it. wish I could say the same,,,lol From there I purchased a Typhoon 500 4 k,. Same thing, no issues at all, then I purchased the Typhoon. I remember waiting for the mail, like a lttle kid, I was so excited I could barely contain myself,,lol ( im 58) lol again, same thing,, always perfect.but then I lost my way, and fell into the DJI Trap, I did like them, and currently own 4 DJI drones, there fine, but,,,,,,, ah,,, not the same, I cant tell you why, recently I saw the light and purchased the Yuneec typhoon H Plus with the new one inch sensor , and a Typhoon H with the cgo3 +I am happy again, lol you couldn't ask for a better aircraft, flew both today and cant stop smiling'good info Steve, great videos,, wish I had your patience doing this,
Thanks for the input can't wait to buy it I've been wanting this for a while
Best drone for someone interested in getting started in wedding video or real estate? Photography too?
Hello, Can i mount my MAPIR survey camera on this drone?
is there a bigger battery available out there?
Yuneec customer services for the win. Dji on the other hand deplorable customer services, and they actually don't care as long as they continue shifting units.
Pls any drone giveaway
tres mauvais ; pas la machine "l'homme" un bébé dans ces commentaires et sa manipulation
The review of yuneec's customer service just sold them a h plus!! I'm sooooooo done with dji's horrible customer service and glitchy software and firmware updates!!!!
Darn, I just ordered the Autel Evo ?
Love your videos! This video helped give me the courage to buy a Typhoon H Plus Pro, (coming tomorrow) to fly with my DJI P4P+'s.
Captain DroneOctober. 02. 2018
Heard it only flys to 400 feet. Is that just in certain areas or all areas?
Thank you, Sir!
I agree with most of what you said in this video. Probably 2 exceptions. First is the range issues. DJI brags about their range on some of their model that is up to 4 miles +_. That's a big difference than the range I get on my "H" with 3 antennas which averages less than 1/2 mile when I start having interrupted signals to my camera and then loss of tracking and I have no idea where it is or what its doing until I bring it back closer to "home base. The second issue is the USA customer service response or lack there of when you call into their call center. Waiting on hold for 20 – 45 minutes is not what I call great or even good customer service. Yes for the most part when you do get them they address the issues well for the most part. Waiting is money and money is why I use the drone period. Like you, when they first came out there were significant problems and I had my share. The most expensive problem cost me an account and potential great customer when I was hoovering about 100' altitude, explaining the functionality of the H when it decided to assume full power, go straight up for another 100' and then still under full power came straight down and only stopped when the "parts" count reached somewhere about 125. Talking to yuneec CS was pointless. They did nothing but suggest I send it to them so they could analyse it for probable cause, i.e. buy another one and hope for better results. It's been almost 3 years and I have two that I fly regularly, still have occasional problems requiring recalibrations, updates etc. Have I thought about switching to DJI you bet I have and if I didn't have the $$$ & time investment that I do I would make the switch now that they have built in monitors, 4 mile range, faster flights etc. etc. and much the same capabilities. Well, guess that's more than enough and more than I originally intended. Richard
love my Typhoon H Pro…i called Yuneec to ask a few questions and tell them i didnt get a neck strap they were very accommodating and sent one right out to me. this is my 5th drone between the Typhoon H Pro and the bebop2 i have the most fun, great vid man
I have the intel version got it for 400 only flown 6 times it’s like new!!! Fpv goggles came with it also!
I crashed my typhoon h about a year ago, and unfortunately was too broke and incompetent to get it fixed or fix it myself, I had to kinda fix the gimbal with the help of a friend, replace a landing gear motor, and replace one of the arm brackets that was designed to fail. First off, it's super, super simple to fix everything. I bought a super cheap set of hex screwdrivers on amazon, and did the repair in about 3 hours collectively (I had to wait for parts to ship, took me about 3-4 days total). I've also flown my drone in bad weather, snow, light rain, blistering heat, etc. and no problems. Other than user error, like leaving batteries charged unused for a year, I've had 0 problems with it. It's a great piece of hardware, I just wish the controller screen was higher resolution.
Hey I heard this company sold their drone division, or something?!? Is this still being made? I really want this, is it worth it in 2018? I don’t want to be another dji pilot… if they r the best than sure but if this Typhoon is what I think it is I might be in love!!!
Because u fly well 🙂
I soooo wanna get 1!
Or Im watching this video because I like drones…
This is not a huge issue, but just wondering. Since the camera will shoot all ways, which is so cool, is there a button to recenter to the front for orientation purposes? I have flown Q5 for about 2 years and just got the TH. Lots of great features to learn and thankful for people like you who help us newbies!!
Just the confirmation that I needed. I'm planning to buy a Yuneec H520 drone for search and rescue purposes, and one concern was flying it in inclement weather during a search. This video answers that for me in the affirmative. I'm assuming that the H520 would get a similar review as the Typhoon H – I think the H520 is a derivative of the Typhoon H with just some extra capabilities. Therefore, the Yuneec is a definite upcoming drone purchase by me for search and rescue, with the Yuneec CGOET camera, which is another concern because of its low thermal resolution – a quarter of the FLIR Duo Pro R thermal camera. I wish Yuneec would come out with a 640×480 thermal resolution camera for the H520. If they do, I'll be first in line to buy it to replace the original CGOET.
I really appreciate your review on the Typhoon H. I have a Mavic Pro and been flying it for over a year now. Love it, but need to move up to a more professional drone and was hoping that the Phantom 5 might be worth waiting for. After seeing your video on the Typhoon, it makes me think that this might just be the drone I want. I like the retractable landing gear. Does it come down automatically or do you have to extend it yourself? I see that you retract it with the switch. Great job on this video and all the other ones I have seen since subscribing.
Great review.. before I get started I'm a beginner I've had some inexpensive drone maybe 150 dollars and I loved flying them maybe 5 minutes flight or less. So now I'm trying to buy a big boy and my researched has let me to this drone and the DJI – Mavic Pro Quadcopter with Remote Controller. So my question is for a beginner and for the price (they are about the same price ) I'm having a difficult time choosing which to pick. If if it was up to you which one would you recommend?
Not sure if I’ve commented on this before, but I had not one but two of these drones and both were utter crap! I eventually got a full refund.
I wish they had upgradable cameras. No company wants to do that. You have a stable platform that flies well but the cameras are what need updated more than the actual drone. Maybe Yuneek would do better by adding this ability to their drones. They could charge a decent price for the camera upgrade.
