The KiNG of 8th scale TRAiL TRUCKS?! NEW FORD RAPTOR F150 4X4 from Traction Hobby | RC ADVENTURES
In a day of method photography, as well as video clip modifying – I understand that an image can not reveal just how big this truck is. This is the latest approaching release from Grip Leisure activity – distributed at I was fortunate adequate to rack up a beta version of this 1/8 range Ford F-150 RAPTOR! WHAT A BEAST. All Aluminum Axles, Rock Sliders, Bead Lock wheels, Drive Shafts, Guiding Components – as well as THiCK CARBON FIBER for chassis rails. I am estimating that these are at the very least 5mm thick. and also there is lots of it. This is more than most likely among the toughest chassis I will have in my garage.
The "Cragsman C" was sent out to me by Grip Pastime & AsiaTees, to obtain my viewpoint on the vehicle. I am a Ford guy, and the Raptor has constantly been a traditional to me. though it is still new. So, WIN. Hah! This vehicle is not hampered with all of the add-on servos as the Jeep Cragsman. This version seems to be slimmed down, for ease of usage and absence of electrical components to damage. The aluminum transmission will certainly maintain any flex out of the equipments when under torque on the path. The Drive shafts look solid, however I have not tested them yet. I would love to see if the universal joints can undergo a few challenges and also hold together. I NEVER had an issue with my Cragsman JEEP. and also everything is still going solid.
Layout smart, it would certainly be nice to see some inner wheel wells to stop mud and dust spilling in to the taxicab. Additionally, I do not such as seeing right via under the wheels. would be terrific to see a barrier, even for aesthetic purposes. Additionally, as a side note: I did battle removing the front of the body. I am not complaining. I such as the truth it was "sort of" tough to eliminate. The mix of magnets, pins and also velcro truly held it secure, however not extremely so. I do not need to see any kind of ugly body messages jabbing via the hood – so for me. Still winning.
The wheels are incredible, love the alloy – as well as the design. The rubber on the tires appears pretty great for summer season time. however the short lugs make me question about use in mud, or snow. The tire substance feels soft sufficient for off roadway routing. however a lot more geared to tool off road – but more sidewalk design crawling. I will certainly be evaluating them out.
Over all I am very delighted with this straightforward, yet "hard" design of truck. It appears rather rugged, and the added dimension of this version is wonderful. I am made use of to 1/10th scale trail vehicles – and also this 1/8th dimension, is not MUCH bigger. however satisfying and qualified. The Cragsman jeep is among my top 5 favourite path vehicles of all time.
