в заключение, our ocean test, we're gon na see how it does in the ocean. I mean I'm just on the shoreline, but this is where I test a lot of my drones underwater subs. I should say for our Ovie's and this one did super awesome in the pool just the most precision one I've ever had in the super calm water. But we really want to know how it's gon na perform in a little bit of a choppy surface environment, so buoy here I'm, just setting it up because the solar panel on there I got the controller here and we're just gon na set this thing up, get It in the water and see exactly how it does in a little bit of chop let's, do it Music. So if you guys didn't see my unboxing and also my cool tests, go ahead and check the link up here. I'Ll have the playlist up here and also I have that link in the description down below, so you can check the product out and also my other videos on this, like I was saying it did amazing in the pool just the most precision one ever it just Hooked up the battery just slide. It in here got the collar I'm gon na wait to turn it on. Until I get like my phone and everything setup, it's all we're doing is we're sliding our phone in here into the little slide bracket. The USB port does kind of lock it in there, but it seemed like a little bit weak.
So just be careful with this I mean it could kind of slide off, just be careful if you're around like the water and stuff, you want to stand back away from the water a bit so we'll take the Mito out and all you do to power it On, like you saw in my unboxing, is just push that all the way down, so it locks close the bottom and we're good to go. You can see the lights come on in the front. Tells you it's on and let's go ahead and plug in the buoy and then we'll turn on the controller I'm really liking. How they have this buoy it's got this little stainless steel clamp here. You can actually lock it off for transport, really simple, and then you can also lock it off like. I was saying that whatever length you want, so you see how I have that locked off it just like a couple of feet so I'm going to leave it locked off there, so it doesn't like really unravel on us when we're setting it up. You only construe this thing in one way: it pops in once it kind of finds its angle connection then just make that collar like pretty darn tight, so it's, nice and waterproof and then we're taking. Конечно, this stainless steel lock here and there you go it's – got a great support now we're ready to turn this on, so flipping this up really important to make sure that this is where you charge it here.
This USB door make sure that plastic is pushed down way in there, so it doesn't like leak and you have infiltration with water. So you can see the blue light turn on also it's distributing the Wireless now now we'll turn on the controller just by pushing power. So it's a little hard to see the lights on the controller, so I had to like keep pushing the power button until I got some like notification that the actual controller was connected, so just kind of hold the power in until you get like a little notification On your phone, so it's good to plug in your phone before you even power on the controller, and now it sees the wireless here through the controller so we're going to connect to that got. Экран. Recording and let's start diving. So here we go we'll just start: diving introduction, I'm gon na skip it it's been a while since I've used it, but anyway there we go I'm gon na start recording. So you guys can see the video here now. I wanted to use my iPad because I was having issues as you can see in the video right now. You see how it's a little bit choppy. I really wanted to use my iPad, but I forgot my little iPad bracket, and so I couldn't put my iPad on it, because the iPad seems way more smooth than the Android app hands gon na help me today in the video what's up here.
Thanks for helping again buddy just kind of starting off in the sand, yeah so that Android little choppy, То есть, человек, that's kind of ridiculous it's hit Y again. Here we go so I just hit Y. We dive down and kind of want to pick it up. There we go so I'm just pushing this little tiny joystick on the left hand, side of the controller to kind of pick it up and we want to go up in depth so left stick up. Remember these things are like little sliders, so it's a little weird for it's, going to be weird for some people anyway. Let'S go ahead and pick it up out of the sand a little bit and then we'll go forward, so it's kind of going forward and as I'm I want to tilt down as I'm kind of moving forward. Let'S see how the video is. Хорошо, just keep going forward Keens doing the real there. The buoy, so my right little pad here forward, Конечно, является – is up and I'm going forward and then, if I pull it back, see how I'm going backwards a bit and then the left and right on the right stick. Does nothing in this configuration left and right on the plate? Is it yeah, left and right on the left? Stick you see how it's turning there so we'll ahead for this larger coral head here. First and again, the Android is just super choppy, really a lot to be desired with their Android app here.
This is the one 60 Телефон, so not the latest, but it should should not be having this much trouble anyway. Recording and here we go we're gon na just cruise around this coral head and what we would really want to do is take a look at the stability in this thing right, so it was known for its amazing precision and stability in the pool I'm totally off. The controls right now let's see how it kind of hangs out here and keeps this coral in view. It'S doing really well actually, it's not going up or down and it's, barely going left to right. So we'll put in a little bit of a right stick to go forward and we'll just kind of go right over it and then we'll tilt it down with that little tiny joystick to get some see how it is and really close up viewing. You know see how stable it is, it's, actually pretty good. I just turned left a little bit. It does have a little bit of rock. You see that so, since it doesn't have multiple well more than two vertical stabilizers, it doesn't can't really cut out that side to side rock, so go a little bit higher it's pressing up on the left. Thumbstick I'll just cruise like right over there's a few fish starting to get a little bit choppy well, just cruise, вероятно, CUS, I'm kind of close to the surface. Now so Qian's gon na unravel and then we're gon na throw this thing in the water me and brought his mask and snorkel.
So he'll go kind of dive for it. If we do kind of lose it, you can see on the left. There you see the compass, so it does know where North is at least, and it tells me I'm facing directly back at me at least on that little compass, and that seems pretty really accurate. I can see the sub right now and it's facing me in the water Donegal kind of to the left and out that way. So a very good North compass and also the drone compass or the sub compass is extremely accurate in this situation and that's really really useful for navigating right since you're gon na be kind of losing the line of sight on the sub. But even in this chop it seems very, very precision: let's go a little more forward if you don't want to turn right and kind of go through this gap over here and get out of this super shallow coral. So I will have that video up. So you guys can see how that is: oh there's, a Humu Humu! You see that fish they're kind of near the center of the screen now go check him out, but yeah just a little bit disappointed in the Android and to tell you the truth. The camera looks a little blurry I'm, not sure if it's the drone itself or the ROV itself, or just the Android but I'll have that up any regardless. Just so, you guys know how it is, after literally, this is the second I've just been sitting for a while until they had time to do this check this out, it's keeping its position pretty darn.
Что ж, man so I'm very impressed. Я имею в виду, Помню, remember the power vision, power Rea. That thing was just all over the place you gon na, even though I had about the same. Maybe I had one less vertical motor, but this thing is just locking in and it's allowing me to just kind of observe the wildlife Wow nice angelfish there that just swam by it's allowing me to observe the wildlife really without losing track of where I am. You know about drifting away, so that's, pretty darn cool. Alright can I'll just place it in the water don't throw it. We don't want that thing coming down, Да, just kind of place it and, while you're doing that I'm gon na go forward, so it kind of pulls it I'm going directly away from me. You guys can see the line, see how it's pulling that little buoy and there we go so the buoy is starting to slightly tilt in the water. Oh there's, some fish again so hands get. You stand by kind of with your mask and then I'll. Let you know if I need you to jump in okay, so games gon na be like our recovery expert if it gets lost water looks like it's getting kind of green, so I'm gon na try to avoid this screen and go out into some clear blue waters. Here yeah, so I can see that buoy and it's low it's tilting way to the right.
That kind of really scares me and the connection just lost. I guess the buoy went in the water, so this is a major con guys. For this thing, any kind of CHOP, even though it's super calm, now a lost connection in this trying to load so any kind of CHOP. You have man, it looks like that. Buoy you got to go super slow or the darn. Buoy is gon na flip over here right and you can go slow, just see how I have my thumb on the pad there. I just have it not all the way up and I'm just cruising, очень, very slow and then same thing with your right. I mean your left finger to turn it now I'm pushing down to tilt the drone down cool. So you can really get some precision movements. Even in this water, like this go down a little bit lower okay, I'm, just pulling down on my left, stick to kind of get us a little more down close closer to the sand. There we go and then I'm going to tilt up just tilting. Member with that little joystick cool, then we'll go forward again. I guess maybe this will be kind of a range test. It looks like it's about. Maybe I want to say 50 feet away from me now on the buoy, so I'll just keep going slowly out. So still impressive, still very precision, even in this little bit of chop, the buoy does scare me when you start getting up some speed right so I'm, just going very slow now guys that buoys about 100 feet away out there.
I love you can see it in my hat town, but it is about a hundred feet and I'm making sure I'm keeping. If you look at my controller here, I'm keeping these antennas as perpendicular as possible to that antenna. So these are guys are straight up, basically pointing the flat side straight to the antenna, and it seems like it's doing good aside from that one time remember we, you know we kind of flip the buoy and it lost connection. So far so good on the reconnection, though doing very good we're, just gon na keep going out, see which direction that sub is going so very, очень полезно. Because then I can know which you know. If I'm going north versus mikan position – and I got ta say that buoy is very, very visible – that yellow buoy out there, I can see it no problem. So as it is now, I've heard that on the batiks is supposed to have kind of like these little floaties you're gon na be able to put around the buoy okay, so they're, already kind of working on that issue. With the buoy at high speed or high chop flipping over ooh, this is a nice area check this out a little angelfish. I just have a really steady forward movement I'm, gon na tilt down a little more he's checking me out whoops. I pressed right a little too hard let's see if we can kind of track him tilting up and moving the left, stick to the right, just a tad very nice, beautiful black, yellow and white angelfish they're, who so guess what guys I'm seeing a nice sandy cove Deep area looking up, I can still see the buoy way out there.
This has got to be approaching about 200 Метрах, hey the controller wow. The controller only has 45 мощность, so we lost a lot more controller power than drone power, the drones still or the ROV still at 91, and maybe that's, because this thing's got to push so much power for the connection right, there's, a school of fish let's see If we can track them, let's tilt up so now, I'm over I'm, вероятно, о 45 Наклона, you can see how that colour correction is getting kind of weird in green I'm gon na tilt down again. This is all automatic, color correction, Кстати, guys what's doing all that on its own. I don't know guys tell me what you thinking that is in the comments down below, because I know you'll be seeing the mean 4k video on this thing, но человек, my Android picture just seems really blurry. Maybe I'll check what the settings are right now. Хорошо, I have all the speeds, low and the max depth. We want to turn that up. I had it at 12 метры, we'll save that and let's go to see. If we can go to some other settings help just calibration, so you can go to some camera settings yeah, so it is at its highest resolution, it's doing 30 кадров в секунду, and if we have a wide field of view, let's try rectified I'm trying to see The difference we'll try rectified for a while and then there's our SD card.
So we use three point: Шесть, four gigabytes, that's cool that you can see all that stuff on the fly just tapping in the middle of the screen. Снова, to get me back to where I was and look at the sub, it just kind of stayed there. That'S, pretty cool don't want to hit the coral we're gon na go up. О вау, that just got really clear in my screen, so I don't know if it's a focusing issue, maybe or what. But when I got really close to that coral there, it got really clear on my Android still doing good forty percent on the controller 89 percent on the ROV I'm, looking at the top of the screen and ninety percent on the buoy, the wireless buoy. So far the wireless buoy has done above and beyond. I could have ever imagined for a water unit. This is doing very good. The only time it chopped out was when it flipped remember weird about five meters. Depth let's go as far down as we can I'm gon na pitch it all the way down so that's it. Хорошо, this one only pitches 45 вниз. I did this in the pool already pitch it all the way up, that's. As far as it goes up. Хорошо. 45 bucks we'll think about these types, Хотя, is you know if you're trying to inspect a boat or something in a harbor? You can do this or we can go forward and back while it's pitched let's push forward I'm just trying to scan this ground.
Maybe we lost something and we just kind of want to go forward and scan the ocean floor as we're going forward. You can also go up and adjust our depth while we're going forward doing good enough. So I don't know about you guys, but that background looks really blurry I'm, not sure if the camera is supposed to be auto, focusing or what it's supposed to be doing, but it's just horrible on my screen. I'D. Imagine it would be the same on the video because I should be seeing the video it's taking right. Let'S take a couple of pictures here so I'm gon na stop recording I'm gon na click on that bottom right thing, clicked on the video and now it says, loading that took a little while we'll take a picture capture success and that screen pause way too long. I don't you guys saw that, but that was way too long of a screen pause picture again go ahead and move forward again yeah. I can still see the booty man it's way out there yeah. I think we maybe we could have a little bit of a easier time guys if we had sticks, actual physical sticks and some of these pads, Хорошо, now we're resting on the bottom blow. I don't want to do that. Let'S go up a bit whoo forward forward. О, малыш, Хорошо, sanding, the motors tests go up. О, малыш, are we gon na be able to get off let's get out of here? Что ж, there you go forward yeah, so a little bit of the lag in the screen and the way it's controlling with these pads is making it very difficult for me to kind of hone in on this little shelf I'm trying to get to.
So I get a little closer and get a photo of this down a little bit in depth. Come on go down there, we go photo another one photo: Хорошо, we're gon na switch back to recording that's all the photos looked so I'm pressing on the photo button. Снова – and it does this weird loading blackout screen go ahead and start recording again pausing when I hit record okay, the release connection or what we're only six and a half meters deep, I don't know no just in case I'm gon na search this the sub and Stop video again Wow: Хорошо, we had a disconnection we're back. I guess the buoy disconnected so we had another buoy disconnection it's about 200 or more feet off there. Хорошо, we're back let's start recording on the video again you want to jump in, Хотя, with your mass. So we're, pretty far out, there guys looks like maybe it disconnected again when I turned to can I'm gon na stop video but keep stopping close the app okay let's try to reopen the app see if we can reconnect so what I'm seeing right now is. Maybe the buoy is facing, like the skinny part, is towards me, so that might be an issue when I was going out. That kind of arch was facing me this way, but now it's like sideways so it's, the skinny area, so maybe it's not the best radiation. For the buoy okay, now we're working, I really want to start this video there.
We go but now check this out every time I'm starting the video it kind of locks up, which is weird, so stop video again app just crashed again, my goodness back into Neto. There you go buoy connected well, I can't really get it back to me. Unless I can see it right guys, so I guess maybe we'll. We won't really record yet let's try how this works, navigating back home, so I should be facing me now north would be completely that way: that's great yeah, so I'm, just kind of trying to come back and go down a bit I'm gon na be so disappointed, Хотя, if the, if the video is blurry, which I think it might be, the actual onboard recording with the Mito I'm gon na be just really disappointed. Да, the coral just cut super clear in my video. Did you guys see that I'm gon na go down again? You see how clear that coral is clear for me anyway. Hopefully it is for you too, and you can see what I'm talking about see that go up oops. ой, I was pressing there look at that and go back. Let me go back clear. That is so now that's how I wish you would look everywhere, that's, incredibly detailed and clear, take a photo without a photo now you'll see how these photos, looking the nice clear, close up stuff do one more right now and then we'll switch back to recording well Keens going way out, there I'll start recording again: Хорошо, now we're doing great it's recording again I'm, not having any dropouts go forward through here.
Whoa do not hit the coral go up. Поднистый вверх! Поднистый вверх! Sorry about that everybody unintentional trying to get home. Okay there. We go coming on back nice and slow up a little, and I want to turn to the right. Поднистый вверх. Let'S get over this coral. We don't want to hit it just pushing up on the Left controller good up a little higher, some fishies swimming by and I'm going back down whoa. I almost got that one boy. It just gets incredibly clear when the coral gets close. So I think there might be something wrong with the autofocus of the camera, because I'm like trying to tap on the screen, you know tap and hold all this stuff. So as long as you kind of have your finger on the thumb, stick pretty steady feels like it's going. You know nice and smooth nice and steady, definitely a lot more precision and steady as far as it's holding its position and a lot of the other subs. Where we're getting a lot of fish activity right here, just gon na kind of hang out and check these out all these guys off for a little bit, whew guys are everywhere. Do all this. Вы, the full, really hope the videos, not this blurry and your guys screen. Хорошо, we need to get home so we're gon na keep trekking. Oh just fabulous. Oh go right into the coral we're gon na try to follow those guys, but the corals right there they're just going back and forth.
This must be their little playground area, cuz, they're, smaller a little go fish, so let's keep going forward very nice and check out this beautiful Hawaiian sand. Вот, as we come on home closer to the sand, so it seems like the motors aren't being too influenced with the sand, because remember out there we had a crazy sand situation, whoops we're having one again get off the sand. There we go a little bit forward. Coming in I'm, going to turn a little bit so can can maybe film it up. We'Ll do like a little turn spin as fast as it's. Turning remember, I have the controls way down low right, see those these settings. I could go way higher if I want, but it seems like you, don't want to go higher than this with the buoy, as it is because remember that buoy will just sink so maybe you want to leave it low. Скорость. Hmm does have a really good picture, Хотя, when you get close right under here all right, I think that's gon na. Do it boy guys, so my hat cam just died. So I don't know how long I've been talking on my regular mic, для, but anyway we got it in pulled it out of the water key and saw there was a rock stuck in this one here. So this was the rock that was actually stuck wedged right in here, Вот так, and the very bottom of the propeller was nicking.
It so there's a little bit of a bottom propeller damage, but it was able to actually work fine, even with this rock wedged in here so I'm. Just let you guys know that's what happened and if I take this thing apart, there is some sand in there from hitting the bottom. So we'll have to flush all that out, but it didn't seem to really affect their performance at all. Так, as far as the raveling goes remember, this thing has a nice little handle on it. So I'm, just gon na wrap this up. В основном, this is how you do it. You just have to wrap it up takes a little bit of time. You got to wrap it up back around the buoy, so we'll do that and then we'll kind of do our final pro's and con's really awesome how you can lock off there's little buoy real a little bit of a negative? Is you only can fit about 50 yards? Это 50 yards wrapped up from the factory it's a little tighter about just wrapping it up. An actual real world use, that's kind of how it is major con was the buoy flipping over and the connection being cut when the buoy would do that, when this would kind of the antenna would go in the water we lose connection, you can switch this little Latch to the other side, but that scares me because, if you're coming through the water it's an easy way for a wave to hit it and turn the whole buoy off so that's, why I chose to put it on this side.
So when it was up working correctly, if it was moving and a wave splashed on it, it wouldn't be able to close and turn off the buoy and also, Конечно, we need them to have some kind of attachment where we can have a better flotation device. So this doesn't sink and flip over as much the actual sub. We didn't really get to test the lights, a whole lot, but it did pretty darn well. The controls is one of my my other major cons as far as these finger pads most people aren't going to like this. I think I mentioned this in both of my other videos, because you don't really know where your fingers are. You know with with actual sticks, you have a stick you're feeling and you can kind of have a better feedback to where you're driving the sub and which way it's going, and you can have a slower, more precision control. This was like when you accidentally touch side side of it. It goes into full yaw or full like tilt or pull forward and backward motion, so that was a little hard to get those like precision shots. Unless you put your fingers in the very middle and slid them out very slowly left and right, but then you kind of lose orientation because you didn't know when you're looking at the screen, exactly where your thumbs are. Besides that the Android app definitely needs some work. I know it works better for the iPad, but again I didn't bring my extended bracket, my 3d printed bracket, so I couldn't do that.
В противном случае, with the Android, it was a little choppy and you guys will be the judge of how the video looked. It looked blurry to me, Хотя, when I did come really close, like a macro shot to coral and stuff, it looks super clear, so I don't know if that's, maybe a problem with auto, focusing or the depth of field they have this adjusted to but that's the Problem, I was having you always have to remember this isn't, like the traditional sub, как вы знаете,, Gladius chasing company, где, when you unplug it, it turns the whole thing off. You actually have to open this store up, and you have to slide the slide lock lever here to make sure that button pushes out otherwise you'll totally destroy your batteries. Last thing I want to talk about is the stability, so this doesn't have any lateral vertical motors right, so there's no motors of here like most of the new ones out now it just has the front and back so it was really good at doing its pitching Up and down it would hold those positions great, but then you would see some rocking like this bore, so when it was pitched at its 45 degree angles anywhere in between when it was kind of level and down from the surface, it was pretty stable. Until you tried to turn really hard or go really fast and it would hold its position, that was another thing that was really good about it.
If you were out there and you lost connection or you just wanted to sit there, even in a little bit of current and just a little bit of a choppy surface man, this Mito would hold its position. Probably the best I've ever seen any sub hold it. Just like you would just wander just a little bit, but you can let it sit there for like minutes, and it would still be right in front of the same coral head. It was to begin with with just a little bit of current, so fantastic there anyway guys. I hope you enjoyed that journey. The first ocean test with the Navitus Mito, and it was fun for you great fun for me and can Kia much mahalos man. That was really cool of you. You like that was fun for you cool. So you can help me in the next one at night, право, it's, a little scary at nighttime.
