Ron's FrSky QX7 developed a really strange fault on Sunday. The aileron channel was extremely slow to react to the stick activity.

This scented like a faulty potentiometer in the stick unit or a high-resistance link in between the pot wiper incurable as well as the logic board. I swapped the wiper links between the aileron and also elevator channels to see if the fault was on the pot-side or the logic-board side– and the mistake vanished.

It might have been oxide on the port creating a high-resistance protecting layer– or it may simply be coincidence.

We'll watch on it and if the fault re-surfaces, I'll do a "repair it Friday" video showing the way I try to find the true reason for the problem.
