Everybody you can control the distance off the orbit mode. A gps map shows up for a reason!
That is not calibrating you did. That was gps syncing. Also the drone camera should be facing up for the second part of the gps syncing.
It does not tell you in the protocol kaptur gps book.
If you want to calibrate the drone, After gps syncing put it on the ground and pull both toggles down to the right for 3 seconds the lights will blink a few times and go steady.
You didn't calibrate the drone before take off that's why it flew way up on take off.
And in the setting on the main screen you need to adjust you're allowed height and distance that can only be done by turning off the training wheels lock
Climbs to 10 meters then comes back down….. Note to self, do not fly indoors.
Manufacturer say goggles only for viewing maybe correct that before someone tries to do that. Although its probably not possible.
I have the kaptur GPS 2. Anyone else who has this can you tell me the distance before WiFi is dropped. Mine is usually 200 feet.

You should read the instructions before you start misinform people…
To calibrate you take the drone and keep it horizontally and around 1 meter above the ground and turn the drone 360 degrees, not yourself with the drone… and you can set up the distance and height how far and how high you want to let the drone fly…
Is there a cheaper drone like this that will carry my gopro session ? It'd be nice to be able to buy a cameraless drone and just mount my own little session to.
Thanks for this review. I saw this drone offered at my local Walmart. Too bad the camera seems to have so much jello (rolling shutter). That would exclude it for me.

Just a fyi, Walmart sells these in the stores, but its $160 and comes with 2 batteries! Id rather get the one from amazon tho..

350 foot range and it has RTH? Lol.
I have one also , I did a unboxing on my channel , they are 3.7v 700mah battery. Mine did not come with goggles though I got it at walmart.

I have no interest in this trend towards proprietary batteries. It means there is no competition to reduce price and you have to have a different battery for every model. Sorry manufacturers.
Does the GPS program like a Hubsan where you have to spin it one direction then another direction
Why they produced garbage? Resources for nothing. Tello is state of the Art, every other little drone will be compared to it. And the 2 years old Tello wins again and again… The winner takes it all…
Looks like it uses a Syma controller.
Like you say – weird looking, like a cross between a DJI Inspire and a Geiger Alien. Shame enough the camera, I get better video from my X5C!
