DJI FPV Drone – GPC Hard Case Overview

This is what i was using to carry it around a husky toolbox. I picked up last minute from home depot now. Meestal, whenever dji drops a brand new drone, they offer a fly more combo that comes with a bag to hold not only the drone itself, but also all the extra accessories that come with it. Dus, bijvoorbeeld, we have the mini 2 here in this sling pouch, which i like. It really is perfect to carry everything that you need for this drone. This go around, though dji did not include any sort of carrying solution with the fpv combo for the fpv drone now granted they do offer like a backpack style bag for the fpv drone and all of its little accessories, but that’s an extra add on it. Doesn’T. Actually come with the combo, because there’s so many little components that come with that fpv combo different tools, wires batteries propellers. You really want a dedicated carrying solution to keep track of everything that’s. What i quickly realized, so i reached out to gpc. I asked if they wanted to send out their brand new case for the fpv drone and they were cool enough to do so. I’Ve got to say it really has saved me a lot of headaches over the past week using it now. Just to give you a little backstory i’ve been a long time, gpc case user. Ever since i bought my inspire 2 a few years back and this thing has protected the gear inside perfectly, while standing the test of time being transported through airports in the back of trucks and more frequently just in the trunk of my car.

Nu, while the case for the fpv drone here is definitely much smaller than the one i used to carry around my inspire 2, it still gives you plenty of cutouts inside to carry everything that you need. That comes with that fpv combo, now jumping inside of the case, so we can see exactly what fits inside of here. It’S got cutouts for the charging hub, the standard, remote controller, the goggles with the band and the antennas still on two batteries for the goggles. A few sets of propellers the charging, brick and cord. Natuurlijk, the drone itself with one battery inserted and we’ve also got two slots for extra batteries along the side. Dus dat is., three total batteries now i’ve sort of customized. My case here in a away by removing the foam insert in the top left corner to accommodate an extra battery and some extra wires. It was shipped with a smaller cutout to fit the motion controller. But i found that carrying an extra battery was a lot more important to me, so i just removed that pre cut foam to make space for some extra accessories. Look at the end of the day, it’s really easy to come to the conclusion that a case is a case right, typically it’s. The last thing that you purchase you just want to try and find the least expensive option, because you just spent so much money on the drone and all of the gear. But i actually find that to probably be the backwards way or the opposite way of thinking.

Because you want to make sure you get a nice quality case to protect that investment that you just made picking up, in this case the fpv drone and all of its different accessories and that’s. Waarom? I really enjoyed the offerings from gpc because of their attention to detail everything from the top layer of spongy foam to the precise cutouts on the inside that are really well spaced out to fit the most gear in the smallest space, while providing optimal protection. Even the outside of the case features small details that make gpc’s offerings stand out like the well protected hinge on the back, the rubberized handle, which is really comfy for carrying the case around strong clasps that lock into place with a really satisfying click. En, Natuurlijk, these locking points on the corners which are further reinforced by metal, so they can’t easily be broken off. Al met al. The case is pretty lightweight: it’s six and a half pounds with nothing packed inside, but once you put gear in here, it weighs anywhere between, zoals 13 Aan 14 pounds depending upon exactly what goes in here, whether you’re carrying extra batteries or just the motion controller. So it does vary slightly. I think the one complaint that i have – and this is really a stretch – is the fact that you can’t put the drone inside of it with the propellers still on, and i think that that can sometimes be a deal breaker to people that want to buy a Case and want to have your drone ready to go inside, so all you have to do is pull it out and start going and start flying, but i do realize that they are up against a couple of different challenges here with this drone.

Specifically this drone because of its design. So if you look the actual motors these front motors sit so far down inside of the foam because of that steep pitch angle of the entire drone itself, even the propellers don’t fold. So it has a generally large profile. If you wanted to store this with the propellers on, you need a lot more space inside of the case, which would take up valuable space from other accessories or just make the case unnecessarily. Grote. At least the propellers are quick release which really helps with the setup and breakdown time. You don’t need any tools at all, OK, so guys there we have it that wraps up my quick walkthrough and overview of gpc’s dji fpv drone case for the drone, as well as all the gear that comes with that fpv combo it’s, a big upgrade over My husky toolbox because it’s got nice cutouts inside, so i know that nothing is shifting around and potentially rubbing up against each other and also it’s really easy when i’m packing up and leaving to glance over all the cutouts and make sure everything is inside of there And i’m, not accidentally forgetting something and leaving it behind so it’s great to have this case. It really does make traveling with the drone a lot easier, whether again it’s like an airport in the back of a truck bed or if it’s, just in the back of your car in the trunk.
