the airport safety thing while you would think that's a good idea I'm 10 miles from the airport and mine won't fly unless I go up the road a ways about it to fly here around the house and play with in the yard with the grandkids I don't want to load them up every time we want to go out and play
I have DJI standard 3 and I prefer it over this drone it's so much easier to set up not all the calibration and waiting to get ready to fly that you have to do with this drone who wants to sit there for 5 minutes waiting for it to calibrate itself, the camera footage you see on the videos are on YouTube have been edited so much that you just wouldn't believe it what you see is not what the camera does
I'm sold! Just bought it on Amazon for $399 🙂
As a newbie to the 4K, this is the most comprehensive review out there. Great info!
I have this quad and still fly it quite a lot, including using in some professional videos. The only thing I would add to the review is when you install the props, once they just screw down and touch the rubber o-rings, use the included tool to rotate one and a quarter more rotations to get them very tight. I've read of props flying off, and this has never happened to me since I get them tight.
That's why I LOVE Mia McCormick.
Very clear review!!
you forgot to mention how to calibrate it to the satelites for gps.so its really NOT READY TO FLY STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!
Phantom 4 is the ultimate drone selfie, but tis is good for beginners.
Its indeed a good review. What will be great is to see a comparison with the Phantom 3 4K series drone.
The Grip works only 15 minutes with 8 AAA? Wow, thats rly short. :/
this product is all I think about???✈?
cost – shipping to India ?? (rs)
It's a very good drone. I got one. This one can compare to the DJI Inspire 1 except for the 360 degree camera rotation and dual operator mode. But came with more feature like steadygrip and built in monitor, easy to to fly and not have a mind of it's own(which all DJI drone have-Fly away) and cost less. I recommended this drone over any at this price range and up to $3K Drone and Yuneec have great customer service. CGO 3 App not so good and require Phones or tablets with 5GHz WIFI Connection not the 2.4GHz which is what most device use. The RAW .DNG photos can sometime have green tint, but JPEG are fine. It seem that DJI is following Yuneec now that they have the OSMO and follow me feature in their drones.
You guys did not include battery flight time in your review.
image looks over sharpened to me, is there a way to turn down sharpness? Same issue i had with Phantom 3 4k footage
Are these things easy to use right off the bat? Or how do you practice with out crashing them several times??
Still choose DJI though
I like the picture footage, but I'm not convinced of the design. It's never a good selling point if the rotors can be seen in the footage, and why should the footage be cropped to eliminate this. Also, it makes no sense to include a display in the controller, only to have to use a smartphone in the handheld, and using truck loads of batteries to power the handheld? Why not power it with the lithium ion battery from the quad?
Sounds pretty cool! The airport safety zone sounds like a great feature!
This is good news Thank You and all the best to everyone at B & H for 2016
That's what I call a review ….great job
I was like "pffft, DJI is better", then more and more features kept flowing and I'm like "Interesting!"
Comes with handheld device! AA batterys are everywhere, and in dollar shops, or rechargeable. 🙂
Looks really nice. Great features too. Thanks for the review! ?? Happy New Year ????
the image looks too sharp
great video !
