not the boys I expected
I love these reviews because you open up my eyes to movies I probably wouldn't watch otherwise. I don't think this one will get a theater release where I live but I'll look for it on demand!
I do love these reviews … but I also miss Scoops Mcgee. Where am I going to get scoops from without him?
To be honest, the only reason I was even entertaining the idea of watching this movie was because of Jacob Tremblay. I don't do raunchy comedies, but he is an amazing actor! He had me in tears in Wonder and even in Book of Henry, where he has a very small role. I mean, he's the only reason I'm streaming Predator. I'm glad this project has more than meets the eye and that he can shine in it.
Enjoy your reviews. With small movies like this, I prefer to wait and watch on tv (either on streaming or checking out from library).
I'm now waiting for the counter argument from someone seeking Dan's throne.
Dan is the only ScreenJunkies member who isn't a braindead fanboy and who can objectively look at a movie and give an insightful review. Thank you, Dan.

Really, Dan? No mention of Jacob's heartbreaking turn in The Predator? And it was heartbreaking, since he's no less than five times better than that movie. ?
Insight of Roth could've been great in this review.
This was so heavily marketed that i got sick of it weeks ago. Not sure why they spent so much money on marketing this r-rated tween comedy. Just release it and let it become a cult classic over years or w/e

What am I missing?
First off- great review. Lastly- does Dan use a bullets point system, a teleprompter, What? This delivery of a great Dan review was just really smooth. Just well oiled. It's actually in delivery not in perspective or referential or anything reminds me of Eberts reviews on Sunday Morning TV. It would have been only better if after the sign off the chair slowly sank him out of frame, but no SE needed!!

I was not impressed with the trailer -with the kids talking sh*t jokes. But since Dan own surprise approval, I might give it a shot if there is nothing else to watch.

Now who the heck is an R-rated 'tween' (*eyeroll to the term itself*) movie aimed to? I'm in my late twenties and personally tend to not care about films with younger protagonists. Pretty hard to empathise with or relate to a child or find humour in ~bad~ kids. I may be 100% alone in this, but this premise seem very alien to me.
I got to go to an early screening and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
I’m seeing it Thursday and i think that it’ll beat out Midsommar for my favorite movie of the year
I saw an early screening and was surprised especially after the lacklustre reviews, not an amazing film but still a fun time.
I was expecting to see Dan sinking during this review.
Will Dan be a good boy, or he leaves out the quip again?
