Because this is such a long, video and such a thorough breakdown, is in the description below. One last thing is the battery charger comes. What appears to be an european plug, so you’re gon na have to get an adapter. This is what it looks like okay, or do what i did, which was use an old laptop charger. Okay, so check that out so that’s what i did either either way guys fly safe register your drone and have fun hey guys. This is chris with gannet drones, usa. Today we’re going to be unboxing, the gannet pro plus we’ll start off with the remote right over. Here you have a telemetry board down here, with, with your speeds, from horizontal vertical to your distances. Elevations and 10 digit grids your number of satellites battery levels on your remote and drone.
Next, we have the board that carries your phone for the app the ganeco app. You put it on here; it comes with the hardware and your you can actually leave it on there. So when you put your phone down or your remote down, you can cover it up in the sun right here we have your lanyard for the remote. It makes it a lot easier to be able to just hang it on your neck if you need to adjust your reel or rod or click or drag for any reason, without having to put your remote all the way down or just in the sand, getting dirty Right here we have your charger, pretty simple basic charger. We will show you more on how to charge your batteries in the next few videos right here. We have your legs for your drone volt meter for your battery. This eliminates you having to put the battery in the drone turning your remote on turning your drone on just to get the telemetry on your on your remote to see the battery level. This one you just plug it into your battery, and it gives you it right. There, these are your props carbon fiber we’ll, be showing you how to know where they go and which direction to turn them and tighten them. Your quick bay door, Applause battery compartment, where your battery goes. If you have a tough time putting the battery in, you know it’s wrong, it’s, easy, nice and easy it’s. The only way it goes connecting it up here, putting the battery back door back on and sending out the bait all right, so we’ll get into the assembly of the drone. You have your four legs that it comes with in your four props, unless you ordered extra props. Four props right here, there’s two that have ccw for the pro plus it’s, only 15 inches. So two that are ccw, counterclockwise and, as you can see here, it’s flush it’s flat right all right. So this one we have, it says cw and there’s a ring on it. This is how you know where to put the props on the drone so i’m, going to show you the drone up close as well Music right here. You have no ring on it, it’s flat flush and right here you have a ring that goes right around it. So you have no ring flat flush, counterclockwise that matches with no ring, and then you have a ring right here, clockwise that matches with the ring right here so that’s how you know exactly where they go all right. But the easiest way to put the props on is with the legs already, so you don’t have to turn the drone over upside down with props on so let’s knock that out real quick.
It comes with four four legs right here, long too long, too short, all right, so the long ones i like to put in the back or you’ll see right here. These are magnetic, so they just snap in there’s, one Music, here’s, two and the third one goes right up here all right before i get past that i want to show you that this allen key has a little insert for an allen key you can tighten or Loosen it and it’ll expand this o ring out or suck it in if you loosen it to where it fits properly and will not come loose, so you just tighten it to where you feel is snug and you’re good to go all right now that we have The legs on let’s put the props on so again it comes with four legs. You only need three one extra, all right so props. Here we go. We have 15 inch. Only pro plus 15 inch that’s, it 15 inch counter. Clockwise counterclockwise no ring now go to your drone, all right, there’s a ring on this one. Obviously that’s not going to go on right, so we’re going to go to the flush smooth one with no ring and don’t worry it. If you think you got it wrong. It’S not possible, one is normal thread and one’s reverse thread. So since this is 15 inch, ccw counter clockwise no ring, i matched it with no ring. So i hold the prop here and i spin the motor counterclockwise ccw, like it says, counterclockwise all right, it’s on until it stops now grab the motor and make it nice and snug you’re not going to break it.
Carbon fiber is super strong. All right so we’ll go to a straight cw clockwise. Now we got to match it with the drone. This one has a ring on it. This one has a ring on it. You already know well now you know that they go opposites of each other. So if there’s one here, that’s clockwise across from the drone, is clockwise, so we will put this one on clockwise, so we’ll we will hold the prop spin, the motor clockwise, all right, it’s, all the way until it stops now hold that motor tight squeeze that prop A little bit a little farther on make it nice and snug, so it cannot vibrate off in any way now i’m going to show you what happens if you try to put the wrong prop on the wrong motor all right, so this one is flat, ccw, counterclockwise! So this is smooth we’re going to go to one with a ring on it right here. Here’S your ring right, so this is a ring with no ring. You cannot attach this. So remember you have to go counter clockwise. You cannot attach this motor it’ll just keep spinning it’s reverse threads, so it helps you out just knowing that you can’t put the wrong prop on the wrong motor and bad things could happen if that was even possible. It’S, just not possible Applause. So put this prop on counter clockwise no ring get it nice and tight ring ring counter.
This is clockwise spinning the motor clockwise, while holding the prop in place, not worrying about touching anything with the props, because it doesn’t have to spin all the way around. All right there, it is all right battery bay door right here, take them off nice, and even you don’t want to tighten all the way down on one side and putting the other in a bind. You just want to do them evenly. We’Ll pretend this battery was not in here alright. Here it is so you have your fitting up here, this xt90, the only fitting for the ganac pro plus, if you put it in sideways it’s, not going to go, do not force it straight up just a matter. Just remember the label on top, so you don’t have to scratch the label by putting it upside down. The weight will scratch it over time, so weight or the label on top slide it in nice and easy. You know that’s the way it goes. Xt90 fittings go inside the only ones that’ll fit, so the xc90 is not that important. The only ones that will fit put the battery bay door on start on one side, you’ll feel it connect. Now go to your other side there. It is now evenly screw them in until they stop don’t worry about hurting it, you’re not going to hurt it, make it nice and tight. What this guy is right here is a check valve. This allows the battery bay when the battery’s in use that’s using energy, which is creating hate, creating heat it’s.
Allowing this check valve right here is allowing the heat, the warmth, to push out into the atmosphere equalizing with the atmosphere outside at all times. So you’re not just building up pressure from heat and that’s all it is. It will not allow water in, but it’ll allow hot air out all right guys. This is chris with again a drone usa, again now we’re gon na start with the battery charger right here. So we already have it plugged into the wall. We’Re gon na go ahead and turn it on there’s. A switch on and off back here. Let’S turn it on all right. Battery charger is on we’re gon na go back to the connections that it comes with. So this is your balancing board. You have a wide or a thin side and a wider side, as you can tell right here, one’s a little bit wider than the other go to the thinner side and it’s going to connect the only port that’s horizontal on this board, so we’re going to plug This in – and you never have to take this out again – it can stay there forever, all right. Next, we will go to the charger grab this fitting right here. It says xt90. This is the same size that’s on your batteries, for your pro plus, all right. So, red on red black, on black red on red black, on black, get your charging balancing board right here, that’s already plugged in leave it like that forever we’re gon na plug it into the charger.
These two ribs up top and flat on one side. So you’ll see right here, two ribs up top flat on one side plug this. In there it is now we’re going to grab your battery all right, so yellow, yellow Music. This board right here will only fit this size in one spot. It’S gon na be the 6s it’s the only spot, it’ll fit it’s too big for the rest of them, so it’s, pretty simple it’s going to go into this last one Music, yellow on yellow and this into the only spot. It goes Music all right now that we have the battery plugged into the charger chargers on. Obviously, the led is on all right, so this is where it’s going to start program, select lithium battery, all right so that’s what we want, lipo lithium battery. Yes, click start all right with the 6600 milliamp batteries. This is a li hp, which means lipo high voltage. All that is is a normal lipo with a little bit more horsepower. It says it right here: li hp, so right here on the charger it says: lipo lipo we’re, going to go ahead and push start all right. So now, once you push start you’re going to see that blinking, that means it’s ready to change. If you need it to status, has that plus and minus button that’s how you go up and down for all your levels, so life that’s, not lihb. Obviously so we’re gon na go plus lipo nope plus lihv what it says on the battery right here.
Lihv right here, that’s exactly what you want so you’re going to push start start all right now, amps it’s, asking you how fast you want to charge this battery rule of thumb is is put a decimal right behind the first number on that battery. So this battery is a 6600 milliamp battery put a decimal after the first six, so 6.6 that’s the fastest. You can charge this battery in amps. Now, if you don’t want to force, beat it which is smart, you can knock it down a level, so just go to six. So since we’re not going to go to 6.6, which is the max that we can go we’re just going to go to six right here so it’s already there but say you want to go faster for some reason, you can go up down a lot of times. I go to 5.5, but we’re gon na go to six for this all right since it’s there we’re gon na push start all right now. It says lihb balance charge 6.0, a which is amps at the speed you’re charging 22.8 volts, all right so down here. We have 6600 milliamps, so remember one decimal after the first number, 6.6 perfect we’re under that we’re not force feeding it we’re, making it comfortable, which extends the battery life 22.8 amps. 22.8 amps 150. Watts don’t need to worry about that right now. So we like what we see it matches we’re going to hold start Music.
Now it says battery check weight says: are you sure this isn’t? This is exactly what you want to do. Yes, i am push start your battery’s charging it’s going to charge until it’s, fully charged and it’s gon na stop. You don’t have to stop it all right now, we’re gon na go ahead and push stop and show you another battery right, quick, all right guys! This one is a 6400 milliamp battery right here, it’s non lihb, not lipo high voltage, it’s a normal lipo. That means it just doesn’t have as much horsepower, but it still gets the job done regardless of the size base. As long as it’s under the recommended payload. The recommended payload and under all right. So now you see here we have lihv well, this one is not. This is an lipo normal lipo, so we’re going to go ahead and press start you’re going to see this li hp start blinking. That means you can change it so right here in the status, the plus and minus we’re, going to change it back to lipo that’s one down press start all right now, it’s at 6.0 amps to charge it. This is a 6400 milliamp battery. Remember roll a thumb! One decimal after the first number, 6.4, all right, so we can charge it up to 6.4 amps again it’s smarter, not to force feed these batteries, but you can, if you need to so right now, we’ll just say: okay, six amps press start.
We like what we see it’s a lipo, normal lipo, not lahv, lipo hold high voltage normal lipo 6.0 amps, because it’s 64 milliamps battery golden hold start battery check weight. It’S asking me, am, i sure, i’m ready to charge this? Yes, i am for start it’s gon na give you the time that it took to charge right here, we’re at 17 seconds it’s going to give you the bolts that you’re at a fully charged 64 milliamp battery is going to be at 25.2. The lipo high voltage is going to be at 26.1 volts. This number right here on your battery is a number you do not want to pass. Do not pass that do not go under 50 percent honestly, and it will extend the life of your battery all right. So so far we have the drone assembled the batteries, showing you how to charge them properly and safely now we’ll get into the remote. It comes with a lanyard here, as i said before, it helps you out with you know, dealing with your rods, your reels, your clickers, your drag everything you just let it hang right. There helps you out so much so you don’t put in the sand, get all sandy or just somewhere, not safe, all right next we’ll go into the volt meter right here. This again allows you to not have to put a battery into your drone and turn your remote on turn. Your drone on just to wait for your telemetry to pull up that shows the battery’s level, so all you’ll have to do here is grab this balancing port right here, see the ribs up flat side down now, we’re going to go all the way over to the Farther side down or excuse me up i’ll just turn it upside down.
Sorry guys, you’re upside down all right so far, this side over with ribs up right. So right now, it’s telling me it’s at 25.7 99 charge this one is the 6600 milliamp this one fully charged it’s gon na be at 26.1 amps again. This is so. You don’t turn your remote on your drone on after plugging the battery just to get it. This is super simple, super quick, so i’ll show you another one all right, so we have a 6 000 milliamp we’re going to plug it in with the ribs up flat side down plug it in up to the top and there it is 87 24.52 again. This is just a quick way to find out the battery instead of you going through all the work of turning everything else on next we’ll go into charging the remote all right, here’s your remote to turn it on real quick. You just hold it down until it makes that little beep right now, you’ll see this board come up. It gives your distance your height, your horizontal speed, h, speed your bs vertical speed. Your 10 digit grid. Everything like that yeah right all right. So here we go now it comes with this pack that was in that charging pack as well for the battery charger we’re gon na pull it out down here. Little usb mini usb plug, in which it comes with already right here, plug this guy in all. Right get a little get a block for the usb side.
Everybody has a million, so i know nobody’s hurting on those plug this guy in right here and charge it plug it in the wall and it’s going to charge it’s going to stop when it’s fully charged right now, you’ll see a red light once you plug it. In you’ll see a red light, once it’s fully charged at 4.2, volts it’s going to turn green that’s, how you know it’s fully charged it might take a little longer but honestly, when it’s fully charged it’ll last, you two days all right guys now we’re going to The beach i’m going to show you exactly what to do with calibrations and everything, but before we get out there it’s a little windy. So i want to make sure you can hear me really clear right now: i’m going to go ahead and turn it on it’s. Just simple simple push up a button right there that’s all you got to do you don’t have to hold it. You don’t have to do nothing, just push it all right right here is yellow flashes. Well, this long, yellow flash means that the remote’s not on remember to always have the remote on first and then the drone on segment. The way i think about it is like putting your car on drive without a driver. Why would you do that? You don’t all right so we’re gon na turn on the remote and you’re gon na see that yellow flashing light change all right now, the remote’s on now this double flashing yellow is saying that it’s warming up you do not want to move this drone at all.
Until that double yellow flashing stops, what this is doing is it’s. Turning on the battery right, you’re turning it on so the battery’s starting it’s warming up it’s warming up that motherboard, the the internals. Everything like that it’s, like a an example, is like my diesel truck right when it’s zero degrees outside i don’t just start it up and floor it. Now. I let it warm up that’s exactly what this is doing. It’S, just a safety thing, that’s super smart to have so, if you don’t take advantage of it, it’s, not smart, all right so that’s what it’s doing right now now that it’s finally warmed up, we can go into calibration now we’re going to do that at the Beach, all right, so what we got here is we turn the remote on. We turn the drone on. We go to my wi fi settings on my phone on your phone. Wait for the gamut to pop up you’ll, see again it pop up with your serial number behind it. Click on it, accept it and then go to your organic go app. It looks just like this guy right here. G, a n n e t space geo get it to go all right, so drone’s on the remote’s on everything is connected with the wi fi found organic clicked on it hit again it go now i’m going to push play there’s your camera. Our drone is looking at our feet right now.
You have the map settings, you can go and mess around with it. You have your 3d mapping. You can come back over here. You can go on here and look at all the flights you’ve ever done from the dates. Mileage, speed, altitude duration, you can say hey, i don’t need telemetry and just go straight. You can even turn it upside down for fun stuff. All right. If you want to record or say you want to take a picture, alright, taking a picture right there, this camera, if you want to go to video, you push this now, you see the video icon, you push it and it records. If you want to see the videos, the pictures, everything you go down here and it’ll show you everything you ever took, you can also allow it to go straight to your phone it’s going to be right when you open the app for the first time. You just say yes allow or no don’t and it will save to your phone as well up here. You have the satellites right now we have 14 satellites. We have 26.1 volts battery that’s, fully charged lahv battery 100. All right, you have our grid down here. Latin longs, what we’re going to do here, all right, here’s, your bait release! This is lock unlocked when you want to drop the bait. You could unlock right here. If you say you land on the wire wave, hits you all right. You go upside down! You hit this three times.
Two of those props will spin bringing you right side up where you can take off from the water here, nor normal cl course lock: hl home lock unless you’re super experienced in drones just stay on normal mode. There is no point to fly any other way: gps, atti, rth, all right, gps mode – is how you want to fly it’s using all the satellites from the horizon, all the way to the middle of the sky, pinpointing exactly where your drone’s at which is giving it Exactly where the drone is at that’s, how it the brain, works, all right, atti let’s, say: hey, i don’t need satellites which is not smart at all and you should never fly it, but all right i’m gon na go to atti. So it eliminates the satellites it’ll eliminate selling the drone, where it’s at it’ll stick to the same elevation, but it’ll drift with the wind so stick to the same elevation drift with the wind. Do not do it there’s, no point, rth return to home the second. I fly to where i’m at all right. I, like my distance, i like where that bait’s gon na drop, i release the bait the next millisecond. Later i go straight from gps to return to home. Now that drone is flying back to me, while i’m setting my weight getting my rod in the rod holder and getting everything perfect by the time. I look back up the drone’s right above me and i land it all right.
So now, let’s do a calibration. Remember, you’re always going to have it in gps mode, normal mode, real, quick right here, these two up and downs: this is to bring your camera view up and down all right so with calibration. This is one of the smartest or the most important things about this drone right now to make it user friendly the better of a calibration. You get the more accurate it is when you fly it, which makes it easier for you to fly all right, we’re, going to start in gps mode, we’re going to go up down up down until we get a solid, yellow light and leaving it in the gps Mode after all, right there’s your solid, yellow light. Now we can grab the drone, keeping it straight or horizontal and we’re gon na walk around the drone. We’Re not gon na have the drone spin around us. This is for the most accurate calibration. You can get walk around the drone, keeping it in the same spot above the ground. All those satellites are sending out a laser to this drone, where those satellites line lasers stop is an intersection of where the drone is now we’re going to do a vertical spin. Doing the same thing walking around the drone. Remember when it’s this one it’s, probably 25 mile an hour, sustained winds, be careful. Those are carbon, fiber props, all right, so we did a full spin. Now we got a flashing green light.
We know we got a successful calibration and real quick before we continue. You want to stay away from vehicles. You want to stay away from the piers, the piers that are cement. I mean they have a rebar inside of them. That will interfere with the magnet. The magnetized calibration. Excuse me magnetic interferences of the calibration. You want to stay away from vehicles again, all the metal that you can stay away from so go buy the sand dunes, if you have to, if you’re on the pier remember that cement has rebar inside of it. So you want to calibrate it at the sand. Dunes before you get on the pier, you only have to do this once unless you see it start drifting for any weird reason. Maybe something in the atmosphere changed so go ahead and recalibrate it, but you should only need to recalib or calibrate it one time when you get to a location. Every time you change locations, it’s safe to calibrate, you take care of your tools. They’Ll take care of you all right, we’re, getting flashing green lights, now we’re going to go straight up. The reason we’re going to go straight up is because, if you did get a good calibration, but not a great calibration it’ll start to drift, you don’t want to go up and it drift into somebody or some vehicle. You want to go straight up to a safe location or elevation that it cannot drift in anything in case you do need to recalibrate it calibrate.
It excuse me so turning the props on we’re, going to go down, we’re going to go down and in same way with turning them off down and in so since i just turned them off. We’Re going to turn back down down and in left. Joystick is up down turn right. Turn left right, joystick, forwards, backwards, drift right drift left all right, so now we’re going to go up to a safe elevation where, if it does drift because it’s a bad calibration, we can land it and get a better calibration. Here. We go Music we’re, going to go to a safe spot where we can watch the drone, just see what it does making sure it does not drift. Now it is in a solid spot it’s not going up down it’s, not going left right. All right awesome. We know it’s a good calibration now we’re going to land it slowly. This drone is very powerful without a payload it’s, very touchy, it’s, a just, a very strong drone. So without a payload we’re going to go nice and smooth we’re going to land it with a heavy payload or any kind of payload, you will see how it stabilizes and you’re gon na love. This thing it’s just incredibly smooth but again without a payload, just nice and smooth okay, sorry that was a rough landing it’s again, 24 23 25 mile an hour winds with probably 32 gusts all right now we have a good calibration we’re comfortable to send out a Bait, all right now, we’re gon na get to the bait release the way i do it is this little window right here for a five pound bait i’m gon na move it to the middle for a 7.
7 pound bait, bring it almost past three quarters all right. So, for if it was five pounds in the middle, so two and a half pounds for a quarter of the way up right all right, so we just adjusted it accordingly, all right so we’re going to put our release right here for our leader push it down. Now we’re going to go on the remote we’re, going to lock it in place all right now, it’s good to go i’m going to bring the drone out to extend it to where when the line is tight. I know it cannot go up into the props and get wrapped around so we’re gon na go bring it right here, put it on the ground. We’Re gon na extend the weight as far as it can go. All the way to the stopper put it on the ground. Kevin on the reel is going to keep the line tight, but in free spool keeping his thumb on the spool now i’m going to fly up and center myself with that weight and then center myself with the bait. So i do not create a pendulum effect. Venom effects are not horrible, it’s, just using more energy, which is battery power to stabilize itself. I want as much power as possible, always all right.
