La musique. So all i did so far is i get it set up with my rates and make sure everything’s flying okay, not only at all Music. Do a couple got ta. Do a roll here to at least get the camera synced up so see how the reception is pretty good, rssi i’m, going all the way through the house, C'est bien. Of course the side looks decent video reception looks decent let’s, see how the pid tune is. Looks all right, Music yeah a little wash. I think we could probably tighten that up. Tighten that up a little bit. I have these uh gold line batteries on here i don’t, i put it on a two 2s charge rate, but i don’t know that’s crazy down to 3.0 volts per cell. I don’t know about that Music yeah. I think we just work on the wash a little bit. Oh gosh, fly’s good. Like i always talk about, i love these quads Music for something you can just fly around the house. It doesn’t disturb the neighborhood. I would never do this with a five inch Music. Oh, i knew i was risking it there a little bit going doing a reverse look heading towards the trees, see it let’s see how it’s fared. Oh, non, Eh bien, alors oui. So at least it has uh arms. It looks like it’s a an arm, so i can just get an arm replacement and just put that on and bend the prop back up here so yeah.
I guess i’ll have to do that. I mean it took a pretty good impact. You can see here this battery took a decent impact there other than that arm breaking. I think that was it that’s what we like to do just break stuff soon, as we get it that’s great first flight. In looking at a couple specifics with the quad, you can see that it comes in two variants. One is the analog and the hd version. I have the analog version and it’s listed as a weight here of 107 grammes. toutefois, you can see on mine. I got around 112 grammes, so a little bit different and then adding the batter you can see. J’ai eu 194 grammes, so looking on the hd version, they got 128 grams here so between the their analog 107 et le 128 nous sommes. Seeing about a 20 gram difference. So if you take the 194 grammes, add 20 grammes, so you know making it account for the difference that i’m getting in weight versus the weight listed on the website here. You’D still see that you’d be with the hd version and the battery i have, which is that gold line uh 1500 Milliampères, which is coming around the same weight. That they’re saying here for the uh for this gnb battery you’d still be under the 250 marque de gramme. With some room to spare, which is you don’t want to be right at that limit, i would think if you’re looking at this quad, i would definitely check out the hd version me personally, Je suis – probably going to get a caddix vista and throw it in there just To have that hd experience with the three inch on sub 250 gram quad.
So this is a real contender. If you’re trying to stay under that 250 gram limit and still have hd performance um, la 20 grams extra is not going to make a difference really in the flight performance. You could see in just the flight characters. Just i had plenty of power. It wasn’t underpowered. In any way, Et alors 20 grammes, that should be fine and speaking, about fight performance, bien sûr, this quad has eight megabytes of flash, so we have some black box vlogging. So let’s take a look at that and you saw the overlay i did during the flight footage. That is this log uh. If we do a spectrum analysis, the first thing we want to do is clip out this crash here. À la fin, bien sûr, that will throw things off, so you really get to the end of the log and hit the o key for set the outlet point and uh from there. You can go ahead and run the traces you see. This is what i’m getting for the roll, the pitch and the yaw anything that’s. You know with the standard setting here. That’S in the green is good to go. If you come up and ever do a quad and see like the stuff’s up here in the red, uh and it’s kind of higher, Comme ça, even without moving the slider up, that means it’s, you know orange and red it’s, pas idéal. You really want this all to be in the green, which you can see we’re safely in the green, with the raw noise that we’re getting on this quad.
So that is good and honestly meets my expectations for avant quads. They always seem to do well on the noise level to me that’s of specific interest, because this is an all in one flight controller, so it’s an f1 board with the esc’s and fets on it. And you know i looked at an hdlrc now it was on a 5 pouces quad, so it was quite a bit different, but so this is a 3 inch so but that had electrical noise issues in that all in one board, Je suis, not seeing any electrical issues On this, at least for this, this size quad so kind of an added thing. This uh j, h e m c: u uh flight controller, all on board does seem to at least for the three inch class handle electrical noise very well, and i don’t see any issues popping up on this. This does have a capacitor on the lead back here. As you would expect so that’s good now flipping over into betaflight, this does have betaflight 4.2.8 pre loaded on it does have some custom pids but they’re, not that custom. So if i take just a screenshot of this and then i set the pids back to defaults just by re enabling the sliders, if i look at the screenshot aside of this, you can see you know. Default is 42. This is ‘. C'est. A couple points. Difference, that’s not going to make that much of a change 46 à 43 44 à 45.
These are mostly the same. These are mostly the same. So the really the customization between uh the stock defaults – and this is your item. Relax is turned down, a little bit, demon is turned off and then anti gravity is turned down a little bit. I definitely think there’s some more area to tweak out a little bit more performance by adjusting some of these values. Malheureusement, my broke the arm so i’m. Gon na have to get back to that, i do want to do a three inch uh preset, based on this quad just for three inches in general, using this is kind of my benchmark to get that set up. So look for that video in the future, but in looking at just some of the flight moves we just did in this log. You can see it looks like the pd balance is pretty good on this, so probably leave that slider go. Maybe we could tweak it. Juste un peu, maybe one notch instead of point one make it a point. Nine, but nine looks like point. One is probably right about where it needs to be this you’re kind of looking for this gyro to come up just like it is here. You can see we could eke out a little bit more feed forward and bring up the pd gain slider a little bit so in the configurator. What i’m talking about here is this pd balance. Tu sais, maybe you could bring it to 0.
9. Mais honnêtement, i would just leave it and what i would do here is bring up this pnd gain. Slider, Honnêtement, i’d probably bring it up to uh to 1.5 here and that’s again with betaflight 4.2 Point, whatever uh same thing with uh, feedforward i’d probably bring that up to a 1.5 ainsi que. I didn’t really look at the anti gravity you know doing throttle pump. So just leave that go for now and uh i’m sure. With this we could probably just turn off the gyro low pass filters all together like this, something to that nature and just leave it at that again. I haven’t tested that, but that will probably be the next thing i would test on it. Bien sûr, if you have one of these or a three inch and you’re trying to try those just be a little cautious on that first flight, where you’d implement something like the settings, i did you know make sure you don’t hear fluttery sounds you want to make Sure you just do like a 15 second flight check, your motor times make sure everything’s good with that uh you don’t, if you have any weird twitches or anything, obviously they land immediately and and maybe turn, but some of those low pass filters on. But for this specific quad, what i’m seeing for raw noise – and just you know my intuition i’ve turned a lot of quads at this point uh. Those are some tweaks uh.
Actually i saved those tweaks. Those are what i’m going to do for the next flight on this, and i think that will increase the prop watch. I know it will increase the prop ross performance honestly, so that’s going to do it for my review of the avant avio 3 pouce. I do plan to do a tuning session on this once i get that additional arm. If you are looking at this quad, i would definitely pick up a spare pack of arms, just in case uh. It was a hard hit. I wouldn’t blame the quad. I know justin davis did a review on this. Had a crash didn’t have a a broken arm or anything. So you know it happens. You know clipped a bunch of trees, so i think it just came down and just smacked one of those. If you do end up taking a look at this and i used the code, avant5 ut you’ll get a 5 discount on it and that supports the channel as well.
