Very Bad not USB connector !
seen couole reviews on this and looks prety good.was thinking getting these for a few of our quads with it being budget freindly id say.
Thanks for the great review as it's very much appreciated,as you mentioned for that price range it's not a bad little camera and some of the things you pointed out could/might be sorted in a firmware update, like the onscreen display and of the like.
Yet again a huge thumbs up for taking time out for us other RC nuts and making this video and so many, many more. ???
Thanks for the review, Lee! Yes you can turn off the watermark. I found it somewhere in the menu. Also speaking of latency, check out this guy's clever test rig. Does it hold water? https://youtu.be/Xk-W6TfcyfA
Seems like they can never seem to get these anywhere close to just right. You'd think they'd get some opinions from FPV people like you or some others that have been in the hobby for a long time. Some of the things they do, and features and plugs are peculiar, and questionable. I don't quite get it! They seem to be in their own little world when making these and not getting advice from seemingly much smarter people who I'm sure would help them for free! That's kind dumb. And so we have it… Another close to worthless product that could have been… Should have been, pretty damn good. Sheesh! ???
The RunCam is so much better !!
You can just remove that logo on the menu. It’s on the settings page.
That is a Mini USB 8 Pin connector, which carries power, serial data, audio and composite data.you can buy this connector and solder just the female composite connector to make it lightweight fpv.its just difficult to figure out the pinout though, tiny needles and a multimeter helped me 😀
btw in comparison to runcam the footage looked muddy,
What kind of set up you had in the footage? there is a lot of jello for 1080p 60fps …. or was in 30fps?
160 degree my left nut.
Good detailed video as always and matches my impressions of the first one I have seen in RL (early this morning)
The USB cable isn't a real problem as far better quality separate cables with that connector (usually from "bridge" cameras like the Dimage A200) are available with a bit of hunting. But it really isn't an "FPV" camera as we know it and I don't expect that to change. The video quality at 1080p seems better than the original and, with the firmware upgrade, has a better WDR. It also has more (non-FPV) functions which really makes it, as you say, a cheap action camera rather an FPV . I might buy one to strap to my FPV truck for a better quality video but there are better options for quads and planes
Great review, Lee! Really nice little camera! ?About removing the logo, ask AndyRC about it. He reviewed it as well and he was able to remove it. ?
I guess I'm first?
