NEARLY CRASHED DJI FPV Drone on St. Patrick's Day // First Full Manual Flight

Look at that they’re, like the smallest. Bien, nearly crashed nearly crashed. This is the dji fpv drone and today i’m, going to fly it for the very first time in phil manuel Music. Hmm i’ve spent a lot of time over the last few weeks, pla playing flying in different simulators before even considering flying this in full manual. I’Ve used the official dji one and i’ve also used a lift off on the computer, because you can use the the dji controller is connected up with usb and you can play away. I have found, Aunque, that liftoff is much easier than the dji sim to fly. So i really hope and i’ve spent more time in it so i’m, really hoping that it’s more accurate. I did see some people online say: liftoff was better than the dji sim and i largely said the dji sim was more accurate, so hopefully i haven’t trained in the wrong simulator, but we’ll find out soon enough we’re up here in the andrew hills, it’s saint patrick’s Day, um happy saint patrick’s day by the way, um a very difficult day to find somewhere there’s. Not a lot of people around but not saw we’ve got two miles of clear space in that direction. If we really needed it, not that we’re allowed to um and no trees. Hay, sin embargo, an entire forest in this direction, so i will be avoiding flying low over here, but let’s let’s get set up and do my first full manual flight and, if you’re gon na do this.

One of the things you have to remember is that by default full across the ability to go upside down, flip the lip and so on, is switched off. You have to go into your controller settings and enable it but i’m going to take off first in normal mode and then once i’m up, there i’ll switch to manual i’m, not confident, we’re taking off in manual mode at the minute, especially when you can see. This is the take off zone. I don’t know very very little flat ground here. So i and not a lot of margin of error, get it wrong and it’s in a shock. Get it wrong and it’s in another shook so shucks let’s, just uh let’s. Just get this in there: okay set it back down clear the area take off i’m really close to this wow. This environment looks dull in a dull day right, vamos a, be normal mode; let’s just go into sports mode. No, sports mode! For a little bit of speed, it’s so fast, oh right, UH! So when i switch this into manual mode now full control, i can flip it upside down. I can do anything with it right. I just feel sick. Okay right, i flip the button and i have to bring the stick down and hold it: Bien, Estoy, in manual mode Music. Look how fast this is whoa. Should i try flipping it Laughter. I just flew upside down for the very first time you see it.

Bien, i can’t really tell i’m back here, but i can see it let’s buzz the trees that’s, as close as i dare for an eye. Oh, this is like such a sense of vertigo i’m gon na tilt the camera up a little bit more. So i can fly very fast whoa. I should flip it again, flip it closer. So i can see no, i i’m, so scared to go near the ground. No, i meant okay, all right here, we go tell me when you can see it, i mean i can see it all the time it’s. Just this isn’t even me, going full speed, let’s just let’s, just blast it all right, there’s full speed. What are you doing? What did you do nothing because it just stopped what it just? Oh, i hit the max flight distance. Why could i have done it? Do not do that? Bien, what did you i saw? You move out the corner of my eye. Bien, it’s gone back into normal mode for some reason, i think it’s, because i hit the distance limit so i’m gon na switch it back okay unable to enter normal mode. Ah, it must force it into are unable to enter manual mode. It must force it when you’re over a certain distance, es, definitely windy out there. I can feel i feel like it’s turbulent uh let’s, try and put it back at the manual mode. Bien, all right back in my head.

I have maverick look at that. Nearly crashed! Oh a little bit, this feels a little bit safer, it’s you’re, constantly having others, Aunque, but you have to constantly having to pump the throttle to get um to maintain altitude. Oh, Oh, Bien! So every time i hit the distance limit, it disables manual that’s what happened? Yeah yeah right i’m gon na oh wow, low battery after five minutes, so i’ve canceled it five five minutes. It must be really windy up there. I have seen people get similar flight distance flight times when the battery’s getting a bit low. Bien, so i’m gon na bring it back, does manual, wear out the battery more uh, yes phil mike because you’re using the motors i mean it flies at 87 miles an hour manual, así que estoy, bringing it back in normal mode. I’Ll switch it into sports we’ll. Just get it back a bit quicker: okay right, i will take off the goggles to land it. Oh, eso es, too close. I nearly that’s about a foot away from me out loud. That was both awesome and absolutely terrifying. I’M glad you’re back down in one piece. I think i’m gon na spend a little bit more time in the simulator.

Bien, quick insert to just talk about the simulators, because i was getting motion sickness with the official dji one. So i saw someone recommend that you can just lift off in the pc, which i did much easier to fly. I seem to be getting really good at it really really quickly, and i thought this is great. It turns out it’s quite different from flying. The actual drone, the dji simulator i found so far is definitely the most accurate. Now i did learn the controls. It did give me some muscle memory playing lift off, but definitely how the drone handled when i was flying out there much much closer to the official simulator. So i probably advise that you stick with it. So how are you there? How close was that actually crashing? You were so close like it was legit. It looked like a few meters off the ground i’m sure i was off by that yeah, but it looked like a few meters. I could just it was just so addictive once i done one, it was like. I wanted another 11 hour lip another lip, oh it’s funny, because your lips look like nothing to me. They were just like it felt insane through the goggles. You were so small and then just suddenly, you were almost on the ground that sound, never gets old. Bien, that is both amazing and terrifying, and i feel like i will be wanting to spend a lot more time flying somewhere like this before attempting to dive it off the edge of a cliff i’ll.
