iFlight Alpha C85 Micro Cinewhoop Review 🛸

So this is basically an inverted version of the alpha 85 that i reviewed several months ago. So the only thing that is really different is this carbon plate and it’s about 10 Bucks. So if you happen to have the alpha a85, all the parts are the same, so you can just basically use the same frame. Uh you’re, probably gon na need to print these little spacers here. That is different uh. That gives a little separation here and then, Claro, these longer screws for mounting the motors, but essentially all the other parts are the same. You got the same 1303 5000 motores de kV, the same props, Igualmente 20 amp all in one whoop style, f4 flight controller board that’s in here cadx vista. Now the camera is different, they’re using the nebula pro now for the c85 on the a85. It was the nebula nano, the nano size camera so a little bit more weight there for that. This little tpu part here for the naked gopro. It is not included. Now they are kind of directing people to their hero, 8 tpu naked case plus their bec board, and so this mount here that they’re using is doesn’t, really go with anything um. So this part here you have to download from thingiverse it’s. Realmente, i think it was labeled for the protec 25 and the mounts for a lot of the iflate uh quads are the same. So this will work on like the chimera five, their protect 25 and works on this one.

Básicamente, it has an m3 screw. That goes all the way through here. You have to provide that yourself and then you need a nut on the other side over here i’m, just using uh one of these um low profile, nuts and uh. Básicamente, the whole zim3 all goes all the way through same for the tpu part. So you’ll see that when you um download that for thingiverse and print it out, and then this will fit your naked gopro style cameras uses them to be the naked hero. Seven it’ll work for the beta fpv case as well a number of other ones. It ought to work for a bunch of different ones, pero sí. If you want the naked gopro, you have to uh download this um yourself from thingiverse the or you got ta go with the iflight solution and they’re kind of directing people towards making a naked hero 8 in their own case. So obviously the c in this name is for cinewa. You know if you haven’t figured it out yet um crossfire nano on this one, their antenna here in the front, pretty nice location for that, and obviously this is a mini antenna uh. Obviamente, you can get them in no antenna version. If you just wan na use a dji controller, you can use the um that comes with a variety of other of uh receiver versions available check the link down in the description. If you want to check that out, they have this tp part here on the bottom that protects the flight controller, and then you can see this little flap here, uh it’s a little hard to get to, but it protects the usb port let’s see.

If i can get this to fold out like that, so i do like this now that they have this part here and then normally it’ll be like this and it’ll be flat. You can land on this and does not bind up the props unless you land our branch or something like that, but a nice flat surface for your landing and it protects the usb port in the flight controller board, but uh because of all these extra tpu ports. This is significantly heavier than uh the a85. Creo que el 85 was around 85 gramos. This is probably i think, on the product. Page was like 107 gramos. I think now this is gon na be with the extra naked gopro mount, which i don’t think they included. It’S going to be quite a bit more so let’s see here, Sí 111.4 plus the i’m using a forest 450 Umm. This is having to be from bfpb, then the nikki gopro here so with the force 450 is coming at 166 and then i’m, using a nikki gopro here um with this little power connector. This connects to the battery the balance lead. Aquí. I did a whole video on this little thing here, por lo que, if you happen to have other um cinder webs that don’t have power leads for the nikki gopros and you can make your own. This is what i did. I just plug it in like that after i mount it in there, so all up weight with everything.

As i fluid. This is how much it comes in it comes in wow. It comes in at 199.6 gramos, so yeah pretty heavy for a two inch. Steno whoop yeah, so basically with all of the extra weight and uh you know, Básicamente, a smallish battery only force per 50 you’re limited on your flight time, and so you know, if you’re looking for more flight time, you probably want to look at different models that Are two inches instead of i’m? Lo siento 2.5 inches instead of two inches, because on the same battery same basically the same prop setup you’re going to get a longer flight time. So this two inch setup here is mainly for people that are kind of looking to fly in smaller spaces and more or less like, maybe an indoor space. I would recommend flying this mainly in an indoor space, because it is heavy and a bit underpowered for the weight it is getting. It will get pushed around in the wind. Quite a bit and i’ve been flying this a bit outside and sort of basically worst case conditions, UH, really windy, uh fairly hard to control, pero uh .uh. You know you’re, seeing the hero7 um footage here with hypersmooth on and it’s. Sabes que es, not terrible. It could definitely be better, so you’re kind of seeing some footage here and sort of, i would say worst case scenario – type conditions. You know uh fairly windy. This thing gets pushed around quite a bit because of the weight and the fact that it’s got these prop guards, but they’re kind of flat.

So yeah you know um, you can still get pretty decent footage outside if it’s not too windy, but i would recommend this moon mainly for an indoor space um. Obviamente, my house is pretty too small it’s, pretty tiniest and kind of boring, so didn’t really fly it indoors um. But if you’re like, maybe in the larger meeting the larger indoor space, it can be probably more useful for that. If you want to capture some, you know 4k footage from the camera or the hd camera, but you know that’s kind of a specialty item. I think it looks really cool and everything it flies. Bien, i mean it’s got a good tune for my flight as usual. I can’t really complain about that: they, they do a good job of tuning everything it’s, just that you know um because of the prop size and all of the extra weight here it is heavy and it does require a bit of skill to manage the extra weight Because it isn’t as responsive so you do have to be a little bit more um. I guess a little bit more um thoughtful in how you fly it and be aware of your surroundings. You’Re gon na get pushed into things if you’re flying in windy conditions, for example other than that it doesn’t fly any different than anything else. Es, just a quad like anything else, just that you’re just gon na have a shorter flight time and around the three and a half minute mark for 4s 450.

My batteries are a little bit old, Umm, been through hundreds of flights. So if you get a better quality battery, like a maybe a force tattoo um, i wanted a new r line series. I heard those are pretty good. I haven’t tested those yet, but i heard those are pretty good, probably again, maybe another 12, quizás 15 20 more seconds uh for similar flying um. If you have a worse battery an older battery like i have a really old one of these old forest 450s, and i think i got like two and a half minute flight on that one, but that was um. You know it’s a pretty old battery, so you know the the flight time that you’re going to get on this is going to vary with the quality of the batteries that you’re using as well anyway.
