You can see it’s upside down about a month ago. I made a video about turtle mode and how you can use it to write your drone if it crashes and it’s upside down or perhaps caught in a tree now over the last month, i’ve had a lot of questions from people who have the drone and they’ve Enabled turtle mode it’s something you have to go in and enable it’s not set up by default, but when they go to use it, they get a message saying turtle mode not needed. For example, i have my c1 button set to turtle mode for a double press, but watch what happens when i double press it, nothing and in the goggles i’m, getting a message saying turtle mode, not required, or something like that. So i just wanted to make this video kind of explaining why you would get that. The reason being mainly is that the drone hasn’t detected that the motors have stopped abnormally so i’m, going to do a bit of a demonstration here for you so i’m going to start the motors up here so now, i’m going to very carefully tip the drone until The propellers make contact with the ground and the drone stops or the motor stop. I should say so: you can see there. It detected that it’s hitting something it shouldn’t be, and the motors have stopped so now i’ve placed the drone upside down again now watch what happens when i double press my c1 button Music, as you can see there, because it detected that the motor is stopped abnormally.
It will then go ahead and allow turtle mode to engage now. One thing i do want to show you here too, turtle mode will detect what propellers are free, that aren’t touching anything and, as you can see in the first demonstration, it flipped over front to back and now i’m going to do it so it’s going to flip Over from side to side, you can see the two side: propellers are touching the grass, the other two are free, so again, double Music press and just like that, it flips right over so yeah. If you’ve been getting that air that turtle mode is not required, it just means that the drone hasn’t detected that the motors have shut down abnormally. It does work well, it’s not going to work in every situation depends on how you’ve crashed. Perhaps you might have a broken propeller or you might have damage to the drone or it could be in some tall grass, where none of the propellers can spin, but it’s definitely worth a try. Because if your drone’s crashed a kilometer away, saves you having to walk a kilometer to try and find it well folks, that’s, basically it for this quick video. Hopefully you enjoyed it and got some value out of it. Give it a thumbs up.
