How good is the digicam on the Mavic 2 Zoom when in comparison with the Mavic 2 Professional digicam, aspect by aspect?

Right here is the video of the MAVIC AIR making an attempt to kill us in Lively Monitor:

You should purchase the Mavic 2 Zoom or Mavic 2 Professional on the DJI Website and never pay Taxes or Transport or Obligation. Take a look at these hyperlinks:

  1. Another good real situation comparison! I thought the Pro cam had a touch more color depth/complexity. Men, all of this depends on the connection, processor for the viewing device and the screen. Too many variables. Thanx again!

  2. Watching it on a Samsung 65in Qled Q8c tv and both look amazing but I see the zoom with a much sharper image. I think the 1 inch sensor on the pro looks a bit better when the sun was behind the clouds but overall I would have to give it to the zoom……

  3. Both produce great video but I’ll go with the zoom. It offers more flexibility. Fantastisk video 👍

  4. Very good comparison guy's, generally I thought the video for the Pro had more sharpness, however given the price difference the Zoom is more bang for your buck. Also the Phantom 4 still has the better camera, so if it's quality rather than portability your after, the P 4 is the way to go.

  5. I love the crisp, sharp video quality of the zoom, however the colors on the pro are richer with greater depth and range. In low light the pro 2 wins in bright sun it's a close call.

  6. Wonder if both of you where in color style normal and standard (sharp/contrast/etc)? Pro is softer, but the focus, over all picture to me just looks better. The clouds in the distance, everything, with the exception of a softer image. Tak for videoen, and I have a zoom.

  7. Without becoming a professional photographer I realize that the image is sharper with the zoom than with the Pro. In my personal opinion, I think the Zoom is the best option. Good flights and greetings from Argentina!

  8. what would the zoom look like?

  9. For me to be honest, many many times better the Pro. The colors are superb and I do actually like just a bit softer the image since the other one looks a bit to digitally sharpened. I don´t like that. Even with the whole fuzz about the 1-inch sensor and not being so crisp on the FPV, still, I think there´s no much to compare. Clear winner to me, the Mavic 2 Pro. Forget about shooting at dusk or dawn, that will absolutely kill the Zoom.

  10. Kaptajn! Excellent video review of both Mavic 2’s! Images on both were incredible. When in comes to photography (including aerial photography), I have come to the conclusion that the quality of the image always rests in the eye of the beholder. I know that is an old saying, but it is nonetheless true! As I have told you before, I have a Phantom 4 Pro+Obsidian, Mavic 2 Pro, Yuneec H Plus, and an Autel Evo. They are all great drones, with great cameras, but there are more times than not that I can distinguish which image came from which drone! Can’t wait for the comparison with the Anafi! Excellent review as always, Kaptajn!😃🛩 P.S. I would like to see you do a in-depth review between the Mavic 2 Pro images and Autel Evo.

  11. zoom cooler wb, pro warmer wb

  12. Could you please make a comparison of Pro's HQ mode and Zoom on 48mm? I would like to see the difference in FOV and image quality in those two images, as the more zoomed footage the better for me and I don't know which drone to choose. It would be awesome if you could also crop both above mentioned from 4K to ~100mm in post to show real differences in quality.

  13. M2P is softer, warmer and better dynamic range but the Zoom looks impressive and aside from low light performance, the Zoom can really hold its own. Seeing as I fly my Phantom 4 Pro when I want best image quality, I think I will be going with the Mavic 2 Zoom for a bit of variety especially where neither Mavic 2 can shoot 4k 60.

  14. So all mavic2 Pro video resolution are “full fov” except for the “4K HD”… højre?

  15. You can really see the difference on his black hoodie. The pro you can see all the folds and shadows but on the zoom it almost looks straight black.

  16. Concerning the M2P soft video in 4K FOV, has anyone tested by varying just the aperture in small steps form high to low? I'm curious if there is a sweet spot where the softness can be mitigated. If the Zoom had better dynamic range I would be inclined to go with it.

  17. not sure about more Dynamic Range for the Pro, it looks like the Zoom has a higher contrast and the white point is bluer. I would guess the zoom maybe able to hit a similar color and an appearance of dynamic range by adjusting these two area's (contrast and white point)

  18. I have P4PV2.0 and M2Z, but I think that M2P and M2Z do not the difference so much except for nightscape shooting. Night view noise is still 1 inch sensor is strong. I think that there is a little difference in the dark places of forests and the like during the day.

  19. I own both the M2P and the Zoom and I’m still trying to figure out which camera is better! Det 2 Pro is definitely better in low light but I don’t fly much at night for obvious reasons of it’s not permitted. I also own lots of other drones (DJI) Mavic Air, Mavic Pro, 2 P4P’s,2 Inspire1’s X3 X5, and the Spark but always result back to the Phantom 4 Pro’s if it’s not about portability to get a good shot. I really don’t think the Mavic Air gets the recognition it deserves because the quality is fantastic and the hand gestures are Kool when you want to show off a little!! lol
Good video can’t wait for the Anafi comparison as I been considering buying that also!

  20. Post editing is where the pro shines

  21. Newest Drone crash and pilots fail compilation:

Please see the video and subscribe for my channel.
It will be interesting for you 😉

  22. Was it me ,the zoom had more detail on the water

  23. I wonder if you set the mavic ZOOM to a warmer White balance, I think it would be more comparable

  24. Pro is the clear winner, thanks for this

  25. Own the Zoom, camera is more than enough for the hobbyist. Elsker det, no need to by a pro.

  26. How critical is it in pointing the controller exactly at the drone for with ocusync? I’ve seen some videos with people standing to the side and still getting pretty far. I know with my old phantom it was pretty important to point right at the drone, but didn’t know if it was as important with ocusync or not.

  27. Are these identical quadcopters with different cameras?

  28. Using my very high end monitor, but admittedly old eyes, the Pro 2 looked notably betteron many levelson nearly every comparison.

  29. Hi Captain Drone, I am a serious amateur photographer and only interested on images. Once both mavics were launched I thought that my option was "no brainer" with mavic 2 Pro but after seeing a lot of video comparisons and the fact that M2Z has the option of high resolution images now I am very confusing what would be the right option for me. I will appreciate your comments and thanks before hand.

  30. Fun video. Fantastisk sammenligning. I am still leaning towards the Pro.

  31. I use the Mavic 2 Pro for all my videos. jeg elsker det!

  32. The pro really makes the colors pop,I imagine the pro color level would look the same as the zoom with a light nd filter,I love the zoom on mine though.I took a video of deer with the zoom and they never knew I was there

  33. 9:53 Length of Video and the comparison starts at 7:16 and ends at 8:36, så 1.2 minutes of actual comparison footage.

  34. Lol a comparison like this is like shooting a inspire drone in auto vs a Mavic or using a DSLR in auto or driving a Ferrari in first gear .. you really need to throw them both in manual, grade the footage and get the best out of them to see the difference. Den Mavic 2 Pro med 10 bit colour capabilities wins by a mile.

  35. Nice, I was debating between the M2P and the M2Z. After watching this video I placed an order for the M2Z. How do I get one of those landing pads from Freewell?

  36. Hello Capitain 😉
I'm looking for a drone, not to take video, but to take photography. I'm doing a lot of landscape photography on my pastime and since some months I'm looking for a drone to shoot photos from heigt or angle that my camera cannot does (excepted if I have a 100m tall tower with mewhatever where I am).
So I'm looking for a Mavic, because it will be the most convenient for me, but I'm hesitating between the 2 pro and the 2 Zoom.
Det 2 pro look to have the best camera with a big sensor, but it is pretty expensive and, if I'm mostly doing photography, I think I'll pay a lot for functions I will never use.
Det 2 zoom looks to be more attractive for me, I think the zoom can be useful in a lot of situation, from isolating a detail in the landscape from playing to the depth with the zoom.. Even if the camera sensor is smaller, with your video I see the quality of the zoom is pretty amazing, even compared to the 2 pro.
So I'm still hesitating, Men, from your advice, which one a non-professional photographer should choose to does (nearly) only aerial photography ?

  37. i Salute the Captain for preferring the Zoom!
With the new low noise motors, it's almost silent when it's in a decent range, Zooming is very crucial, you could zoom in without annoying the people and the birds around you, money was never an issue to me, i bought the zoom simply because of it's zooming capabilities!

  38. The zoom is awesome with its background compression and various focal length capabilities.

I bought a DJI Mavic Pro Platinum (£1200 around $1500) as a treat for some friends in Cyprus and 6 weeks after Waiting for it to be delivered all the hassle of getting it through customs after sending it to North Cyprus (who take longer to deal with things) osv osv. So the guys waited weeks nearly 2 months for their drone. The day it arrived l was here in Cyprus. We all went to the beach and we were all very excited filming with it. We were on the deck sunbathing. When the drone returned to us it just flipped and landed in the sea for no apparent reason! We got it out after about 2 sekunder, dried it in rice, but it didn't work! When I phoned DJI long distance, they said they would repair it free for us so I was relieved. I spent more money about €50, sending it back (which meant travelling through the border, again thru customs, to the South of the Island, I don't drive so taxi costs. Thus was to use a Post Office with tracking so l coukd track the Mavic Pro.)
Then strangely DJI wouldn't confirm that they received it 4 weeks later (even though tracking showed it arrived) until I could find all my receipts and evidence my end which I had temporarily lost. This took another week and a half, with more long distance phone calls, to different people in their office as no record was kept of my long distance phone calls. I've lost count of the many calls l made. It was a total nightmare. Endelig, they decided they were not going to fix it free after all and gave no real reason for this change of heart. They then quoted €890 to repair it which seems steep when you consider they replace a chip or something minorl could probably do it myself if you could buy electronics gear here (North Cyprus) which you cannot! I just asked them to return it. I cannot explain why they didn't wish to helpI wasn't angry with them on the phone I was polite all the wayso I am at a loss about this. In commercials and YouTube you see the machine flying over water there is no warning that it is NOT even semi-waterproof or splashproof. I explained to Amazon where I bought it who decided they would sort it for me saying if they couldn't get redress from DJI they would pay me. I said l was happy to have half the costs and expenses. I waited and waited for my refund to no avail. Out of the blue, Amazon too decided they weren't going to pay me anything not even a postage stamp! So I am £1500 plus down and all my time and effort (and expenses) and nothing to show for it. Not to mention all the time and trouble travelling to South Cyprus to send it back via tracked mail long distance phone calls etc etc. The worst was watching my two young friends ' unhappy faces. The real reason for this plea is I wanted to asked anyone PLEASEwhat do I do with all the batteries and stuff? Can I use them on a different drone (not DJI as I am still sore!) There has to be a clone out there where I can use the batteries, surely China has copied it (improved it!) it just seems so much waste. I thought the 21st C was a sustainable one, it seems not as far as DJI are concerned!!!

  40. The zoom it's great his wenner 💕

  41. En gang til, another video that concludes the main differences. The Pro has a better color depth range while the Zoom is Sharper. If in was going to buy one, it would he the zoom for the sharpness. Dji should go with a different actual better lense next model.

  42. My old eyes show the MP2 Pro being a tad sharper and more contrast.

  43. Ive just ordered the zoom , were both shooting at same color profiles also same sharpness and saturation, contrast ? Cos MP Pro colors look more saturated mainly in the sky blues 🤔

  44. Pro is definately better quality image/vid camera….

But im going for zoom anyway for building inspection and construction site monitoring….
