Now these are just a few of the releases of various different cinewoops out there. We have so many multiple categories of cinema. It kind of makes your head spin, so you’re, probably wondering which one should i get, and and really that comes down to what your needs are. If you have a big open air field, you can fly something like the protect 35. It is one of the most highly recommended and best flying sort of hybrid cinemas out there, and i can’t really classify this one as a cinewoop. It is inspired by cinewoops. They have taken that frame and taken off the deeper ducts. They put 3.5 inch props on here they, so they made the motors a little bit bigger, which kind of gives us more power, and there are rumors that they’re going to do a 6s version of this quad as well, dji or analog for the protect 35 is Also, a 2.5 inch edition of the protech, so with that said today, we’re going to check out another 2.5 inch edition, cinewoop and what’s different about the urv uarv filippo. Well, this one is one of the lightest ones in the bunch and it’s. Also, probably one of the best price in the bunch, so this would be my choice for a budget 2.5 inch cinewolf and the biggest difference between the 2.5 inch, and this three inch category like this is the bumblebee v3 that just came out that we reviewed on The channel last week, or maybe even earlier this week, it’s been a crazy week, um so many reviews, but they upsized the motors on this one which do make it freestyle better and it has less tumble so um.
The biggest difference between these and these basically size and noise level, so this one is way lighter and quieter. This one demands respect. It is loud, large and very well powered with these larger motors, so we’ll also carry gopro comes in analog and dji system versions. So you can put crossfire on both of these and and send them way out there on this one we’re going to fly something like a 4s 1550 milliamp battery. Whereas on this one, we’re gon na fly up to a 4s 850 on here and be able to get around eight to nine minutes flight time so around the same flight time on this one but way way lighter and cheaper batteries. And i got to tell you guys: it’s been a crazy week, you know, we’ve had some great crashes and i’ve had to share some fun stuff with you, with airplanes, as far as just putting them straight into the grounds and rebuilding them and starting over again and Today’S video is no different it’s that that trend seems to have followed me over into the cinewoop category. So yesterday, when i was demoing this for you guys, i was out having a fantastic time. I was doing a little bit of cinema first, like i always do, and then i start out with some freestyle after i get some beautiful cinema for you with my smo 4k and then i started to freestyle and guess what i did. I crashed again, but this time i put it about 40 feet up in a tree, so you’re gon na get to see that crash.
Today, during the freestyle test i mean i, i speared a branch and it was just hanging and it was almost impossible to get done. It took me about an hour to get this little guy down, but thankfully, here he is on one piece and i have him back so the flippo is back in my hand, and i was able to retrieve my smo 4k, which you know is, is about a 200 camera, so i was pretty concerned about that, but um i am uh happy to say that it’s back in my hands, so let’s go ahead now out and do another exciting flight test. With a dramatic ending here, we go okay, guys i’m gon na ride, along with you for the cinema flight test, part we’re gon na go ahead and get the flippo f95 up in the air and let’s do some rolls and some flips also just some general pants And things like that, so you can see if there’s a whole lot of jello up high. It actually looks pretty good and there’s a little bit of jitter there on the bottom of that rotation, but coming back around from rolls it seems to be very smooth. It pans really well up high and i have to say it reminds me a lot of the beta fpv 95x. If, if i didn’t know it, i would think i was flying that same quad here, there’s really not a whole lot of difference.
The tune on here is actually better than i thought it was going to be. I was expecting something that i was going to totally have to tune, but i’m pretty happy with what it flies like out of the box, and you know this is where you can see some of the jitter and jello up high, and i do see some vibrations There up high it’s, not totally smooth but coming down the road super low. It is pretty fast so with one of the faster ones out there and man. This thing handles freestyle like a champ, going back in stability mode. There i’m gon na go through these tree gaps. Try to make them a little bit quicker. This time, get you guys through there. Those are really beautiful, trees and right here i hit one of the prop guards, no problem, just bounce off things and kind of keep going a lot of times with center whoops and trying to make these gaps a little quicker this time for you guys again, since This quad’s feeling really good little victory roll there on the last tree now coming back across the field, i’m, pretty happy with that. First battery and now the freestyle flight test, and since i had a great first flight with it, i thought well. I’M gon na do some more extreme stuff, so it’s flying pretty good and i’m going for a power loop there, a little bit of wobble at the back the bottom end of that loop, but not a lot of wobble i’m, really happy with the way that this Thing flips and rolls virtually no wash out here, so a washout will kind of give you about 180 degree, tumble the flight controller freaks out and there’s a little bit of stutter at the bottom in, but no washout is good, so i’m loving it one more power.
Loop there and you got ta, be kidding me. You got ta, be kidding me. I treat this quad. Oh man, it’s been one of those weeks. Jeez come on bros i mean here we go again but, like i always say, never give up getting the drone down. Honey. Daddy got the drone down from the top of the tree. With that long pole, we put tape around it and there it is on the ground. It took daddy about an hour to knock it down honey and we finally got it down. Look at that. Stick was right. Through there, daddy had to break the branch off. It was right on this branch right here like this see, and then we had to break this branch to get it down, because it was right up there just like that. Can you believe that yeah? How about that? Huh lauren it’s crazy, but we got it back and we got the smo 4k back too it’s a little sideways, but the lens is not broke so hallelujah. It will fly again Music. What do you guys think drone retrieval unit? Okay, so we got ta have a victory flight after we get the drone back. So i put the sd card back in put a fresh one in there, and the sun is going down it’s about sunset. Right now and again, you know sorry about the low resolution on the cam here, but this is what it’s flying like after it hit the pavement.
I didn’t even break a prop, and i i am lucky that i didn’t break the runcam nano 2 camera or my smo 4k and unfortunately i had the lens filter on there. So it’s a little bit dark looking. It would have been a lot better. Looking at this light level, but i made it through the barbed wire fence once let’s see if we can do it again. Yes, they did it again so, second time through the barbed wire fence with the camera on top there’s, not a whole lot of clearance. With the camera on top you’ve got quite a bigger profile on the front of the quad, but you’re able to skirt through some things, which is really really cool. So i’m, really feeling this quad. And it did surprise me because again it like flips and rolls and it will do freestyle and it will do cinema and it’s low enough that you can definitely skirt through some pretty small gaps. If you want to fly through trees and do some kind of canopy exploration, you can do that. Just be careful that you don’t end up treeing. It like, i, did and end up 40 foot up in a tree, but with a cherry picker and some pvc pipe and a little bit of duct tape and an improvised hook, which was a taped on pair of snips. I was able to pull this thing down out of the tree and get it back never give up, never give up you guys all right, let’s go back to the studio for a little uh overview of the thippo.
Here we go all right guys. Welcome back from the cinema in the freestyle test and the drone retrieval, i used about 40 feet of pvc pipe and a cherry picker and a whole bunch of hardcore sort of packing tape. Um threaded packing tape. You want to make sure that you use a lot of tape if you’re doing like a a long pole type of retrieval. You don’t want one of those poles to fall off and hit you in the head so and also the kids were well away from the area when i was pulling stuff down and keep everybody out from underneath the drone when you’re trying to do that during the Retrieval um one point i did have the pair of snips fall off and hit directly in the on the concrete in front of me. So um wear a helmet if you have to it’s it’s, very dangerous to pull drones out of trees. So because you have some pretty good weight falling out of the tree, whereas bad things happen so be super. Careful we’ve tried all kinds of things to retrieve drones. I’Ve, shot bow and arrows at things before, like a foam weighing up in that tree and don’t. Try to do that at home. We didn’t have any luck with that. I know other people have done that with a piece of string, but it’s like one of the most dangerous things you can possibly do, trying to get a drone back, plus you’re, definitely going to put a hole in something or break something um with quads.
The best way to do it is just get a long pole go to home depot and get yourself some 2 inch. Pvc pipe duct tape them together use as much duct tape as you can on it and then just get your drone back. Unless it’s 100 feet up in a huge oregon tree, then you have to call an arborist and they cost you two to three hundred dollars. But i got mine back and i’m super happy that i did because well, i can finish up this review today, for you guys the urav quad is different than the others. And again i i said i felt like i was flying the beta fpv 95x. There is a version of this also the 85x, which is a little bit lighter and smaller than this one. I believe that was a two inch version. This is a 2.5 inch. This is a 2.5 inch, and this one again is probably one of the best budget picks, and i say, budget because it’s only ten dollars cheaper than the gap rc cinelog 25, which is probably my favorite center whoop out there. But the thing about this is that the parts are going to be cheaper to replace on this one and it’s one of the lighter ones the the frame is really stripped down in here you can see, for example, in comparison to the gap rc cine log 25 There’S, quite a bit of carbon in the center of that frame, it’s going to make it ultra durable, but it is much heavier i’ll put these on the scale and weigh them all for you.
So you can see the differences here, but um it’s going to kind of be potato potato too, because this one does have a cadex vista on here, adding a little more weight. So the hd version is going to be heavier. Your analog versions are always going to be lighter than the hd versions, because the addition of the caddix vista, this 300 milliwatt vtx in the very back it’s only a single 20 by 20 stack and they haven’t mounted, interestingly, between this sort of front to back configuration Here four bolts – and we have this bar here specifically for the vtx – and we have a tpu mount back here for the ufo antenna for 5.8, which is kind of cool. I kind of wish this was higher than 300 milliwatt. But if you’re running like 600 milliwatt on something that only has a 4s 850 battery on board at the biggest you’re, probably limiting your flight time, because you’re burning a lot of juice out of that battery running something like 600 or 800 milliwatts. So you can still fly miles out on 300 milliwatts, so i’ve tested it. It does work. We also have an f4 flight controller in here and it’s, an all in one flight controller, underneath this tpu mount here and we have 20 amp esc’s, allowing us to run a 4s battery and i have to say i’m, one of the things i’m disappointed in about This quad, not the power system, not the flight controller, not the tune, not the frame.
The frame is very durable. It hit the concrete on the way down it just bounced. I i’m mostly disappointed about the camera mount. It seems like none of these companies can get a universal camera. I guess because all these camera cases for dks gopros and the smo 4k they’re all different sizes and thicknesses. Just look at the cinna star camera here, it’s quite a bit thicker front to back right. There and this one seems to be one of the lightest of the bunch. You can also get nd16 filters for this particular camera, and i wish i had it off there during that sunset flight. I forgot, after um spending an hour trying to get the drone out of the tree, but the cool thing was that i was able to do a victory flight and none of these struts broke, which is really impressive, and this is interesting because it looks like they Kind of incorporated carbon here as a sort of an additional type of prop strut here, prop guard strut, which is cool, and this is kind of a unique design. Usually, i see one coming up here, but maybe that’s going to give us a little bit of flex right there, maybe and more rigidity out on the outside of the frame, where you’re going to take your most of your impacts, mostly not from the side like that. But again on this one, we have a pretty good power system on here: 11 0.
These are 1106 4500 kv motors and those are labeled. Ur uav, two bolt configuration on those 2.5 inch props and those are gem fans. I’Ll put some links down below for my favorite cinewood props as well, and i have to say my favorite battery on this was probably the 4s 850. It fits comfortably side to side like this is how i would mount it and it doesn’t even touch the camera, which is super cool, and we got my xt30 there and i get about eight minutes flight time on this. This would be my battery of choice for cinema style, flying sort of mid range battery. It’S going to get you about. Six minutes would be the 4s 650 and that will mount comfortably on there as well plenty of room there. Even though this frame is kind of stripped down a little bit and then the the 4s 450 in my opinion, would be a freestyle battery um, but you’re only going to get about three and a half minutes flight time or three minutes. If you’re really full throttle. Um and again it’s going to freestyle better. If you take the camera off for guys that want to freestyle just record your analog video and the video on board is analog 5.8 and it is the run cam racer 2. it’s, the runcam razer nano 2 in there and it’s also suspended by the tpu mount. So it’s not actually right mounted right to the frame it’s hanging from the tpu, which i think helps out with the tune a little bit it’s different than some of the other ones like the beta fp95xv3.
Has it mounted straight to the frame, so you might see even a little more jello in that particular quad, probably the one with the least jello. Is this mount on the cinelog and that one is mounted straight to the entire camera mount apparatus, which is super cool? So you have five grommets in here and probably one of the largest mounts for any of these center whoops, and i love the way that kept us on that one. They kind of waited around for everybody else to release theirs, and then they came out with something a little bit better than the pack. So um let’s go ahead and put this one on the scale and by the way. This is what i flew it on and i highly recommend this transmitter and i’ll put the link down below for this jumper. It is freaking, awesome um. It feels like i’m flying like a full size, transmitter super super nice and the best thing about this one. Is you know 18650 module bay in the back and usbc charging and full size switches and an led screen that you can can read and you can bind up tons of models? This is also its own version of open, tx it’s, not like a fly by night thing here or something that’s hijacked to it. It actually has its own firmware, which is really really awesome from jumper, so let’s go ahead and zero out the scale let’s. Just put all these on the scale, and some of these don’t have a camera and whatnot but i’m, not totally fair, but let’s, see if i can get a weight in on this, if i can get it to sit right, 128 grams that’s with the smo 4k Camera on there so 128.
3 grams, and now with the 450 what’s that going to get us up to 181, okay with the 650 that’s going to get us up to just a little heavier 188.1 and the 850 still under 250 grams super close we’re. Looking at 225 224.1 so well under 250 grams, with the smo 4k on there pretty cool now the gap rc cine log without a camera on there, that’s going to be 130.7 grams, 130.9 grams cinastar with the camera, the gopro d cased 173 0.7 and the beta Fpv very popular quad here let’s see if i can get that on there right, what’s that looking like 165.3 grams for the 95x v3, not bad, and this is out of this class, but this one i’m going to be reviewing coming up. This is a digital as well, and this is only two inch, so this is a little lighter, actually, 113 grams that’s that’s, pretty amazing. This is something new from aurora rc it’s called the egg 2, and this one is looking really cool. So i’ll show you how this one flies coming up: we’re going to do a little testing with this one and a review on that one, probably early next week, but i’m happy with this release. I think it’s, probably one of the ones you can buy for a little cheaper and maintain a little cheaper than some of the other ones out there again it’s going to be a much cheaper parts replacement on this one versus the gap, rc gap, rc frames are Usually, a little more expensive and parts are more expensive, but different power systems also.
So we have 12 series motors here on this one. I believe they were 1204 series motors just a little beastier uh, but you know in a way a little more efficient and more forgiving on your batteries than 1106s. So a lot of these companies started to switch over to 12 series motors, and they also did that on the sinistar. I believe these were a little larger. These are the emax eco motors. I can’t read them. There seems like it’s a little too small, but i believe there are 12 1206 or so and same thing with these guys, but these guys also used, i believe, 1106s on those let’s just double check yep, so both ur uav and beta fpv, both use 1106s and Very very similar flying quads, which is kind of wild it’s, not a clone, but they do fly very similar. But thanks again for watching my honest reviews, guys please do subscribe on the channel and i’ll bring you more awesome. Drone reviews coming up take care and be safe and also guys, like, i always say, never give up. Leave your comments down below.
