I’Ve specifically tried them out on my dji mavic pro 2, but i know they make them for lots of other makes and models of drones that are out there now in terms of what we’re dealing with here, the folks at polar programs designed this particular set of Filters with photography in mind what i’ve used here are the heavy stop variety of these filters. I have the nd128 nd 256 nd1000. These are very heavy stock filters, i’m, primarily a landscape photographer, and one of the questions that i had when i bought my ground was: how can i take long exposures in the daytime it’s pretty straight forward, how you take them at night time, but lowering the shutter Speed on the drone proved to be a pretty tough task and there’s, obviously not a filter thread on the front where you could just obviously screw a filter on. So i was unsure how you could accomplish this well that’s, where products like this come into play. Installation with these is really rather simple. I’Ve got my drone sitting here and you undo the front there’s a little twisting motion that you use to remove the factory filter, just pops off it’s a little twist to the side. Then you take one of these new filters. Then you rotate it back and now your drone is ready and able to take longer exposure shots after you get the filter in place, you’re going to want to check and make sure that you’ve got the right amount of light diffusion to get the shutter speed that You want the way you’re going to do that.
Just open up the dji app go into the camera and check your shutter speed if you’re at one second, two seconds, you’re, probably where you want to be after you adjust your iso. If you’re still getting relatively fast, shutter speeds you’re going to want to try to go to a higher stop filter in terms of packaging. All three of the filters come in a jewel case: it’s a nice protective case, it’s a pretty heavy stock plastic. So it’s not going to crack and bust up in your bag, it’s relatively durable. The only issue i see with this while it looks great new the case – does scratch rather easily so it’s, while it’s not going to break on you. It is going to show some signs of wear relatively soon. I’Ve, probably taken this pack of filters out three or four times had it floating around in my bag, and you can already see it’s got a few scratches on the case in terms of pricing. These run about 80 dollars. You can snag them, maybe a little cheaper on ebay. For my uses, i always like to buy name brand filters. We spend a lot of money on our gear. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me to skimp and buy an off brand filter to put on the front of a 1500 drone. In this case, with cheap filters a lot of times, you can get weird color shifts and whatnot, which you can, which can ruin a shot.
That brings me to the performance of these filters, as best as i can tell, there are no weird colors or any sort of color shifts or anything odd or off putting about these filters at all. Everything is just as crisp and clean coming out of the dji hasselblad camera on the mavic pro 2, as you would expect. The other thing that i wanted to talk about about these filters is the build quality, just like every other product that i’ve ever used from polarpro. They are built to the highest level quality. These are all metal and glass construction. They have a really nice beautiful golden finish that you can see on the filter right there, it’s a it’s, a it’s, a nice textured finish, makes it easier to it’s actually easier to grip than the factory filter that’s on the front. So, in terms of build quality, i feel like these would stand up to many many years of use all that’s to say that these are going to be tough, durable and last, at least as long as you have the drone, without giving you any fault. In terms of a conclusion, the only real complaint i have about these filters is the price they are rather expensive, but you do get quality in exchange for that price. But if you want a good, solid, reliable filter, that’s going to allow you to achieve some of those fantastic photographic, long exposure shots. This is what you need.
I know. Polarpro also makes other filters that achieve different effects, but at least for photographers, these are the ones you want. These are what are. These are what are going to give you the long exposure look you’re going for and you can’t go wrong with polar pro, just an excellent brand, all right guys! Thank you. So much for watching my review. I’Ve got a lot more of these planned for other products that i’ve that i’ve used over the past couple months; i’m, not going to review anything for you guys that i haven’t used the tested extensively. These are products the things that i’m going to be reviewing things that i’m, using in my day to day like these are these are these are all things that you’ll find in my bag at least once a week, or maybe even more than that. So, thank you guys again for watching the video. If you enjoy this type of content, please subscribe to the channel really helps me out a lot and thank you guys again have a good day: Music.
