The air picks selfie drone by air selfie i’ll be talking about its build operation, the camera app features and just what makes this such a fun camera to use all right. So let’s do the unboxing of the airpix aerosofi drone. The first thing you’ll see when you open up the box is the instruction manual underneath that what we now have is the actual air picks drone itself and included in the body of the airpix. Drone is actually an eight gigabyte micro sd card very nice. Now when we open up the other box underneath the air pick selfie drone, we first see a couple of spare propellers a carrying bag and a usbc charging cable. Okay, so let’s talk about the build. The airpix fits in the size of your hand and weighs just over 50 grams it’s easily transported in your pocket or bag, and the body of the air picks is comprised entirely of plastic, which keeps the drone lightweight and durable. During accidental bumps or falls on top of that, the plastic body has a soft touch. Rubber coating, which gives you more grip when you’re holding onto the drone, which helps when you’re trying to lift off the drone or when you’re, trying to catch the drone in the air. Alright, so let’s talk about drone operations, so the air picks can be operated in different modes. There’S manual autofly with the app and autofly without the app each of these modes has their advantages as well as disadvantages and i’m going to talk a little bit about that.

So the first one we’re going to talk about is autofly using the app now. My first flights with the air picks were actually done using autofly with the app this mode is by far the most simple you just select if you’re indoors or outdoors as well as select, if you’d like to take a picture or video when you’re ready, you then Launch the drone in front of you and the led indicators on the front here will let you know when the air picks is about to start taking a picture or start taking a video. My favorite part of this was watching the drone fly back to you once the job was completed. The first time this happened to me, i wasn’t expecting it and i wasn’t sure if the drone was gon na fly into my face or not, as you can tell by my expression in this video right here, let’s talk about the manual mode. The manual mode feels most like flying a drone and, as the operator you have the most control, you have full control over the air pixel’s flight from liftoff to landing, and you also have full control over starting and stopping videos and pictures the challenges i found in This mode is that, if you’re using the app on the phone to control the flight of the air picks, it only turns the air picks left or right. So if you want the air picks to hover left or to hover right, you actually need to use gestures which can be complicated because, on one hand, you’re trying to control the flight of the drone and then, on the other hand, you’re trying to use gestures at The same time, it can be a little bit complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it works pretty well, so the last mode here is autofly.

Without the app or without using your phone. I found that this mode was actually the fastest for taking a selfie, but also requires the most experience. The reason for this is that you need to have a good knowledge of the gestures to use when flying the drone or flying the air picks, and you also need to be aware of what gestures, to use to start and stop videos and pictures. In addition to that, you also need to be familiar with the different blue and red led patterns on the front of the drone. The reason for that is because you’re not using the app the signals that come from the leds. Actually, let you know when the air picks is about to take a picture or, if it’s, about to take a video and also when it stops taking that picture or video. So the mastery of this mode is the most satisfying and can help you make the most use out of your air pixels flight time. And it saves you that extra step of having to pull out your phone and connecting it to the air picks going on to the photo editing app feature. So one of my favorite things about the air selfie app is the ability to edit photos. Pictures and videos are automatically transferred to your phone once you’re connected to the drone, i enjoyed the air selfies implementation of the picture. Editing software in addition to the basic editing features that most photo editing.

Apps have the air selfie app includes some fun stickers, as well as text designs, once you’re done editing the image. A copy of your image is then saved to your device, and it can then be shared to your friends over whatever social media apps you like to use. Okay, let’s talk about battery life battery life on the air picks is good for battery and drone of this size. Some people might find, however, that the battery life is short, so the official air pick specs say that you can achieve six plus minutes of flight. However, if you fly, the air picks outside the battery life will be shortened slightly as more power is needed in order to keep the drone stable in the outside air. So in my test i found that the flight time was actually really between two and six minutes. There were times where i’d get a low battery warning after one short flight while inside, but on other times when i actually took the drone outside, i could get about two to four flights flying outside it was windy, it was recording videos and it did last the Six minutes so because of the roughly short flight time to ensure that your air picks is always ready for you to take your next picture. Um. I suggest that you actually charge the drone as soon as you’re finished using it in my testing. Charging can take up to one hour if you’re charging the drone fully from zero to one hundred percent battery on to the camera.

So in terms of pictures and stills, the air picks gives you 12 megapixel, stills and images, and for video it’s 1080p at 30 frames per second, like everything else on the air picks. The camera is actually very small and you have to adjust your expectations accordingly. So, to get the most out of your air pix camera be sure to use it in a well lit environment, images and videos that are taken in dimly lit areas can lead to blurry or overly dark images. Another thing to note here is that the air picks doesn’t actually have any camera stabilization, so that means you may see stutters or jittering, while recording video whenever the drone moves. Okay, so my final thoughts on the airpix selfie drone, the biggest challenge that users will experience, are the short battery life, as well as the long charging times, which means that you’ll have to use your time wisely. Whenever you have the drone flying yes, you’re gon na get better images and video from your phone, but the air picks does one important thing. It brings the fun back into taking a selfie and it leaves a lasting impression, which is exactly what you want when making memories with your friends. Alright, everybody that’s it for today’s video.
