I would challenge you on video quality. I and approaching 100 other users have found ripple effect/artefacts at both the top and bottom of video clips shot in 2.7k. It’s less noticeable in 1080p. It only appears to happen when you pan left/right while filming or flying left/right. And finally – it seems to mainly affect European CE drones. DJI have known about the problem for over a week but as yet don’t have a clue what’s causing it or if it can be fixed. In their frustration some owners have already returned their drones. I recommend owners with the same problem report it to DJI. The more that do the greater the chance DJI will do a proper investigation and hopefully fix with a firmware update (unless it’s a hardware problem in which case we are all buggered)
Hi Henrik, what kind of RC gloves do you use, I live in Minneapolis very cold
Some faults of MM249 The CE & FCC mode are now dictated by the drones GPS position and not the phone as was the case with the Air & Spark. It is not possible to "mod" this with a GPS cloak. The mini will struggle in urban areas in a CE 5.8Ghz setting.
Another critic is that the battery %level indicator is white in the top right hand corner (without the familiar status bar) becoming difficult to see when viewed over the white background caused by "blown out" skies the auto default produces in normal daylight. On that note the worst fault or flaw is the the changing WB or exposure during a tilt down on the gimbal whist flying again in normal daylight. The bottom 3rd (the ground) swings from a sillouted textureless mass to a slightly over saturated image all whilst the sky loses any definition a cloud might imbue.
Try it for yourself. (maybe an intresting vid for you). The effect is almost like a temperate or a hue change as the WB adjusts .
Love the new intro!!! and glad to have that familiar catch phrase back .
Keep it up
Good tips! Thanks Henrik!
Fly like a boss…. Need sensors…sometimes..
?
Hendrik, I guess you as a Mavic 2 Pro owner missed one you know for sure:
Mavic 2 was the first DJI drone with an internal memory you can use in case of a card damage . After RTH you then can copy from internal drone memory to SD card.
Great progress to add such basic features to a entry level drone.
That plastic is not cheap, but weak and durable. It saves and protects the internal electronics in case of crash by absorbing the crash energy in that flex
A stiff one would rather crack and transfer energy inside on PCB and sensors.
1 gramm more and things would change completely.
you know what 1 gramm is ?
easy: a tic tac sweet is more than 2 gramm …
Are you excited or have you found areas where Spark beats Mini ?
So far – I guess – just the missing usb port on the transmitter, right?
Regarding Skydio 2 check this out how the beacon is damn perfectly following a mountain bike rider on a top speed down hill track with deep cliffs.
You should be aware: skydio asked him for testing but he himself has never flown a drone before. A newbie from the mountains as reference.
In that video outside of woods or forrests the drone is mostly following blindly from the back until at one point he pulls the beacons and steers the drone from right behind to left ahead.
You will be blown away how good this footage is created in 1 long shot without cuts or 2nd or 3rd trials. This will be your perfect unicycle camera man I guess cause you have a hand free while bikers like him have no second for playing with a beacon . It will also be perfect for elite rowers in days without coach to get feedback where bridges or ships are occuring.

Mine came today and despite the drizzle I could not resist, I discharged one battery by flying it but when it was all wet I decided to go home. So it seems quite resistant to moisture, but of course it's better not to try such experiments.
Fly like a boss! Never rely on sensors ??
Awesome video! The mavic mini seems like a great drone. I’m not ready to give up on my Spark yet.
I had to get a new cable to be able to fly it with my ipad mini. But its cool when you do. Nice big screen
Interesting to me how twisty the arms are
You forgot to mention that buyers might need to upgrade their phone to download the Fly app.
